How to neutralize unwanted brassiness: Wet hair & bar, then "paint" on from lengths to ends for even toning. Massage into a lather; let sit for 1-3 minutes for desired toning intensity. Rinse & repeat as needed.

Okay, but smell is too strong
I alternate shampoos and use a clarifying shampoo every 1-2 weeks, so I don't get a build-up of product. I also don't use a conditioner, because the hair that was thick when I was young is mow thin and becomes limp, if I condition it. I have previously used Pantene silver expressions, which I liked ...

I don't know how much it enhances my grey hair, but this shampoo cuts down the oiliness I have had since I was a kid and it does seem to make my hair brighter. I love that with a bar, there is no wasted shampoo. It lathers up really well and rinses out easily.

This shampoo works great on my hair! It takes the brassiness out of my hair from my hard water. It makes my hair soft, shiny and has lots of lather. I have very little, if any, hair loss when using this shampoo. It lathers great right in the bag and smells great too!

Unfortunately, my fine, wavy salt and pepper hair was left feeling dry and frizzy. The scent was nice. It's important to store the shampoo and conditioner in a container that will allow them to dry out.
