I actually switched to Ethique from HiBAR, because the teardrop shape of that shampoo bar was so impractical. Exceeded my expectations
I purchased this and the conditioner bar that pairs with it out of curiosity and the claims that its eco friendly and most importantly, that 1 bar equals 3 bottles. In the shower used on my hair and it ended up lathering better than i thought it would for a bar! Usually i have to wash twice with traditional shampoo, but this washed out most of the dirt in the first wash. It left my hair feeling really clean and smelling good. The only thing is that the suds are blue so it might not be good for people with dyed hair, but besides that i liked this product and the fact that it saves money and plastic!

would not purchase if you have processed hair...they use different oxides depending on the color of the bar which leave color deposits on chemically treated hair...dyed my hair green/blue as a blonde and I never would have used had I read the ingredients prior...says its safe for colour treated hair...definitely not. why are the oxides necessary?

I loved the Professor Curl bar. It made my 3A curls look great. Unfortunately the new curly shampoo formulation makes my hair look flat and heavy. The new formulation might work for people with tighter curls, but I guess I'll have to try to find a different Ethique bar.

I was skeptical trying shampoo bars with my wavy-curly, thick hair but this shampoo has been a game changer! Helps my waves be more curly and bouncy and also moisturizers to tame the frizz. My new favorite shampoo!

Excellent lather; leaves my hair soft and squeaky clean after rinsing. Only thought for improvement is that the moon shape is not easy to rub on head and hair but is doable.
