Great until it wasn't

Writing this review after receiving this for Christmas. I started using this almost immediately. I wanted something that created more defined twirls instead of the bulky one I was using from revlon. For context, I have long (to lower back) hair, have not colored it since 2021 and get trims every 3-4... months. First impression was lots of power and heat. I almost always use the low setting. The high setting is too hot. I use pretty good products for thermal spray and blowout creams. It honestly gives really good shine and volume, which right off the bat I was excited about. It has a long cord which is good too. The tool itself is good but I started to notice breakage around the edges of my hairline. The more I used it the more I realized it has to be this as I don't have short layers. Barely any long layers to my haircut routine. Even on the low setting it's too hot for the thinner pieces around the hairline. I have pretty thick hair too, it's not fine, I'm able to get away with 1-2 wash days per week. I used the $40 revlon one for the last 2 years and I never had a breakage problem. I am assuming this brush is too tight of a diameter which means heat does not transfer correctly throughout the brush. I've seen other people complain about breakage after using this for weeks to months and I'm here to say the same. Hopefully this helps someone in the long run.
