Packaging issue but i love the product! Soft hair

Packaging problem! I hope these reviews do get seen by the company because of what I'm about to say. The cap doesn't work! It's the kind of shampoo and conditioners with the little lever you push on the depression to pop open. But I tried my absolute hardest and I think the design for the plastic to...p is broken! Luckily I have other pumps I can use instead because this is the only problem I had with the product. What really matters is how the product inside the packaging affects my hair, and it's just as easy to unscrew the cap for use. As for what really matters — this shampoo is lovely! I used it in combination with the conditioner and the smell is wonderful. The shampoo created a nice lather and cleaned my hair and scalp nicely. As for how it dried, I gave it the full test and didn't use any other products to really see the direct results from just this. I scrunched my hair up to bring out my curls as usual, but didn't use any products to do so and didn't do anything otherwise. Let it air dry and my hair felt amazing and soft. My hair always dries frizzy so I can't expect a shampoo or conditioner to change that too much, but this product left my hair in probably it's best possible outcome considering I used no other products. It claims to be color safe which is also good to know. Now how about another important parameter: ethical concerns. The company claims this product is a vegan formula, free from animal testing and is packaged in a 99% recycled plastic bottle. Love that! I also noticed some cool ingredients such as squalane, cactus flower extract, and avena sativa (oat) extract. The first two I know are good for providing moisture to the hair, and the oat extract I just find interesting. I once read a study that involves taking doses of this ingredient and it resulted in people having decreased physiological responses to a stressor. I have no idea why this would be in a hair product but hey, anything to help us adapt to stressors, right? Lastly, the rating for this product on Environmental Working Group's Skin Deep score, this product got a 5 on a scale where 1 is the safest to use and 10 is the least safe. This product had less than moderate availability in terms of the data that has been collected through research on its ingredients. The worst ingredients responsible for this score were the fragrances which isn't much of a shocker. I think if I'm going to want any of my products to be scented, they will definitely be my hair products since I love my hair smelling nice. I just wish the fragrances were natural, but I really enjoy this product and may switch over to it as my primary shampoo and conditioner set after the ones I'm currently using. It's been a few days since I've used it (I only wash my hair every 5 days) and it has worked just as well as my default shampoo in helping my hair feel clean and nice for several days.
