Love it ..................
I have been using Clairol Root Touch up for years but I decided to try L'oreal Root Rescue because my old brand was not covering the grey as well as I liked. I am absolutely THRILLED with my new find. The L'oreal Root Rescue covered my grey roots and my hair feels so soft and looks really shiny!...

Clumsy and Wasteful Applicator
I love Loreal products in general, but sorry, this one needs some improvement. The rather rigid applicator bottle is hard to squeeze so the product doesn't flow out evenly but in spurts and spits. That made application difficult for me, plus it's impossible to get all of the product out of the bottl...

This is a product I would again
[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] Product has a good consistency and enough for me to cover my entire head. Odor is not too strong, developement is simple with applied instructions, mess free.
Such a GREAT product that ......
I'm no stranger to a quick fix between salon appointments and I was so excited for the opportunity to try Loreal's Root Rescue. From the beginning, the instructions were very straight forward and easy to follow. The gloves were high quality and the fit was great. I have extremely thick curly hair and was a little worried when I saw the instructions warning that the product is only for a 'touch up' for roots. However the amount of product was very impressive and more than enough to complete the job, even on my thick head of hair. The best part....the color was SPOT ON!!! Even after leaving the product on for the extended time (15 mins total) per the instructions, some of the grays weren't totally covered. They only changed to a lighter, golden shade of brown but surprisingly it seems to work. The finished color looks 100% natural and the blend to my previous color is perfect! A bonus...the extra product I got all over my ears, neck, and skin at my hairline washed off easily in the shower without any need for exfoliating nor alcohol. It has absolutely NO 'shadow' dye left behind on your skin. It includes 2 applicators but unfortunately they both leave a lot to be desired. The bristles on the brush applicator attachment are spread too far apart therefore the product drips everywhere and makes an unnecessary mess. The product that does end up on your hair is difficult to spread down the strands due to the wide bristle separation. The squeeze tip works great however it shoots product out (for a fairly long distance) due to the pressure after shaking, and it doesn't allow you to brush the product outward on the hair strands to blend it. At the beginning of the process, the product has no color so it's difficult to see if you missed spots. With the extra amount of product, it's easy to go back and touch up the missed spots as the product darkens. Although the product isn't advertised for brows, there was plenty of product so I applied to my brows. It did an even better job on my brows and they look so natural. Overall, the product is incredible! It gives you a beautiful color without making you look like you just had your hair dyed. As for the application, until Loreal changes the included choices, this stuff is so great that I recommend just investing in a inexpensive brush for hair product application and mix it in a disposable cup. A girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do!

I will be buying this product again!
[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] This root rescue kit was easy to use and the results turned out great. Mixing was easy with easy to read instructions. I would definitely use this again next time I need a quick fix.

OK for the price
It does the job, but I wasn't completely impressed. The applicator is convenient and makes applying color to the roots fairly easy and mess-free. Color was decent, but the coverage wasn't quite what I expected, and the results could have been better. It's a good option for a quick root touch-up between full color treatments. Overall, it's okay for the price

Hasslefree root touchup
I have to say I really enjoyed using L'Oréal easy root touchup. Using regular standard hair dye can be a mess . I have to say I really enjoy an easy Touchup without making a mess. I really also appreciated the product not really having too much of a smell. I am very sensitive to chemical smells, and this didn't bother me at all. If you're looking for an easy root touchup, this is your product .

Hello, I use Loreal Excellence 6R (light auburn) to color my hair. Which of the available Root Rescue 10 Minute should I use for the roots? 4R looks too red, and 6 for brown hair doesn't seem quite right. Looks like full line of colors not available? Thanks!
- Asked by JJ

Does color #8 Medium Blonde have cool or warm undertones? I use Clairol Root Touch Up #7 dark blonde and my hair turns orangish due to warm undertones. I use purple shampoo to counteract the effects but it still does it. If Magic Root Rescue #8 Medium Blonde has warm undertones, what L'rOeal product do you recommend to cover gray and blend color to medium blonde cool color? Thank you.
- Asked by Boulder Barbara
- Official Answer By L'Oréal - Brand EngageHi. Thank you for reaching out to L'Oreal regarding the Magic Root Rescue. The #8, Medium Blonde is a neutral color. If you're seeing orange tones in your hair and you're using a neutral color that could be because you're choosing too light of a haircolor based on what your natural haircolor is. All hair darker than a natural platinum blonde has red, orange and gold tones, though you may not see those colors until you try to lighten the hair.
