I hadn't worked with glitter much and was nervous because it has the tendency to stick to everything and have too much fall out. This glitter primer does the job. Period. Smooth, satiny application and picks up every piece of glitter. I had an unfortunate incident where I fell asleep with a glittery eye look and when I woke up, my other eyeshadows had worn off, but the glitter was still in place exactly where I had applied it. This primer also works great as a base to enhance the color of the Nyx Pigments. Haven't tried it with lips yet, but for glittery eye looks, I am sold.
I was looking for a reasonably priced glitter primer and was excited to see this from NYX, especially since the packaging is cute! I will say, it definitely made my glitter eyeshadow show up better, and it also reduces fallout significantly. It also makes my eyeshadow last longer, unfortunately it could not survive my crease. I have normal/dry skin and hooded eyes, and my eyeshadow wore away badly in the crease and set into folds. The regular primer I use (which is high end) does not do that. Granted this keeps the glitter on well, so I'll probably continue to use it, but I will do so only on the flat planes of my eye where I want the glitter to stick, so I'll have to use two primers on heavy glitter days (which isn't ideal). I was hoping to find my new everyday eyeshadow primer (because i do where a lot of glitter) but I've just incorporated another product into my stock.

Have you ever been THAT busy or away from your makeup or maybe just THAT lazy? Yeah, that's me. I always put this base primer down, feels like glue at the start but then you put your eyeshadow on and you no longer feel it. I use really good eyeshadow though, so if you're buying cheap stuff I can't guarantee the same results… but I can do my eye makeup and still have them set up to 3 days later, sleep and all. I wash my face at night with the exception of eyes and brows and love that in hurry my eyes still look good. I've tried it all, this one is the best.

I put this on my eyes yesterday morning and forgot to take it off yesterday night the glitter was still in the same place

Absolutely in love with this. It's my go to now for all glitter and shimmers, keeps the product in place and no transfer problems.

I go to a lot of festivals and this stuff works!

I thought the product worked well and helped prolong the wear of sparkly shadows, but I've had two tubes and both lasted about 2 weeks before they started leaking at the top of the tube/base of the applicator. I thought the first time it was a fluke, but I won't waste my money buying a third tube.

Not a fan of glitter so I don't use the primer for that, but I love using this when applying shimmer/metallic eyeshadows; it helps them stand out and last longer on my oily eyelids. That being said, the tip of the packaging always breaks on me before I even get halfway down. I thought it was my fault until my mom told me she had the same thing happen to a couple of hers. Looking at the reviews on here, it seems we're not the only ones either. While I recommend this primer purely on product alone (I do keep buying it despite the packaging issue), I understand that product being wasted is not something others want to contribute to (understandably so). Dunno if NYX reads reviews on Ulta but yeah... fix this please.

always keeps my glitter in place and never disappoints, however i did notice if i set my lid with concealer the glue and glitter will cause it to be quite patchy. i'm assuming because the product is so tacky. so i'd recommend not setting the areas of your eye that u plan to use the glitter to avoid this problem.

This lil $6+ eye primer does what it says it's gonna do. Literally holds glitter really well! I've used it for several different brands of glitter and it holds. Definitely worth it. I actually apply it on my brush to pick up the glitter as well and help it stick. Works well.

Bought for NYE and wow! This stuff WORKS. I have since used it just for regular shadow (instead of NYE glitter look) and it's probably the best primer I have ever used. Great price too!

It's made my glitter stay through so many nights of dancing! Highly recommend.

This works great for your glitter eyeshadows to reduce fallout and build intensity of glitter or glitter shadow. It's super sticky and works exactly as you want it to. I love that it's super affordable too!

I really like this glue. Great for shimmers and glitter eyeshadow. I find my glitters actually stay in place now. This is one of the few products I enjoy from nyx.

The top where the glue dispenses out of always snaps off the tube into the lid! What the heck NYX? I've had this happen with multiple, and I'm sick of so much product being wasted. Used my recent tube once before it snapped.

Omg this is amazing for normal eyeshadows. I apply it and let dry and all my matte eyeshadows are way more vivid and last all day. I'm seriously shocked by this product. 10/10

This is my go-to eye primer. I use is for all types of shadows (mattes, metalics, shimmers, etc.). I never wear glitter. Ever. So I can't say how it works with that. I don't know whether it makes the shadow more vibrant, I use it only for it's abilty to make shadows stick and last longer. I have never had a problem with blending any formulas. The only negaitves I have are: There is occasionally fallout of shadow that has micro glitter (I HATE that stuff). But that is probably my application. And, the last 3 tubes I purchased split and the product oozed out. I squeezed the primer into a small glass jar so it wouldn't dry out and I use a tiny spatula to apply it (instead of sticking my finger in the jar). It's aggravating but, not a deal breaker for me.

highly highly recommend using this with the LA Girl glitter toppers. I don't use actual glitter much, but this primer makes those toppers shine and stick all night

This primer really makes your shimmers pop. I love it and you can't beat the price.

HIGHLY recommend this! I have oily skin and even my eyelids get greasy so my eyeshadow tends to crease and move around. I used this and after 8 hours of walking around and working, my eyeshadow was in the same place when I got home. I dont know what everyone is talking about when they say it's bad packaging .. maybe it's just from being in a delivery truck because mine came in perfect shape. it was in a nice cute little box and it comes out just fine. it did make me laugh a little because it comes out like a nude color, goes on white, and dries clear lol it did remind me of lash glue because it has this slight tackiness to it, I assume to help the glitter stick, but it doesn't make your eyes feel sticky at all, just don't use a whole lot of it
Raychela from IN
Definitely one of the best and most effective glitter primers I have used. I have been careful with the packaging since reading the reviews. The only downside is, although it works, you can feel it in your lids. It reminds me of like a light lash glue.

I love this primer and use it every day for all types of shadows and pigments. I find that it doesn't crease at all and is very lightweight.
Jess from Des Moines
The product itself works great, but the tube itself is terrible. Mine broke at the nozzle
AJ from USA
Okay this primer is great but like many others have said the bottle breaks. It's an awesome primer but I wouldn't recommend using it alongside another primer, that made my eyes super watery. Love it but waiting for packaging improvements!
