After using the r.e.m beauty glossy balm in shade "shirley" for six months I have gathered the overall experience of wearing glossy balm. For the first three months, I loved it. It gave me the most beautiful flush of color while nourishing my lips and adding an UMPH to a natural glam or full glam....

i got strawberry soda and cotton candy, i was not expecting cotton candy to be a lip stain! it smells soo nice too!
my absolute favorite
this is my absolute favorite lip product. of all other lip gloss products I try, this by far has the best shine and gloss. its also far and away the most moisturizing; it literally healed my chapped winter lips. even though its called glossy "balm", I had been wearing it more like a lip gloss only. when I started wearing it during the day in place of a regular lip balm, my lips became soooo much more moisturized and are literally never chapped anymore. these are sheer with a wash of color, but they are absolutely not clear and pairing the right glossy balm color with the right lip combo is divine. the shades are also lovely directly on the lip and give a fresh, awake wash of color. my faves to wear alone currently are Shirley and Cherry Cola. Shirley is amazing for just giving you that awake look without any real effort. Cherry Cola is perfect to keep in your bag for a quick, chic look. both shades look amazing with lip combos too, and I frequently wear the lighter colors as well. these are definitely thick, but thats part of the reason I love the product. it contributes to the high shine, longlasting wear, and moisturizing. they arent going to be a lip gloss that you put on and the shine is dull 10 min later, and 20 minutes later completely faded. these actually last. this is THE gloss for me. my backups have backups!
fembot
Really nice gloss/blam! I got the shade fembot because I don't see a lot of nude glosses with blue shimmer and it was on sale. The shimmer doesn't have any texture or grit and it leaves a really pretty twinkle on the lips. The gloss is a little thick but not unmanageable. It has a slightly sweet vanilla scent to it kinda like some MAC products. Would definitely recommend trying this out. I'll probably end up getting some other gloss shades in the future.
This lip gloss really works
The last lip gloss I used didn't really work. The color didn't stay at all. Not only did this one stay on throughout my entire night at the club, but it really did change color.
Immediately no
I applied it and instantly hated it. Way too thick and gloopy, and i woke up the next day with an allergic reaction. Ive never been allergic to any makeup product, and I do not have sensitive skin. Theres way better lip products out there.
