One Day Wonder: Smooth Start, Frizzy Finish

I'm on my 2nd mini bottle of this. In my experience this product is amazing for day-of use, and terrible for 2nd day hair. Compared to my normal routine, applying this product liberally to wet hair and air drying left my curls super shiny, like glass-shiny, with no notable difference in volume or cu...rl pattern. There is no hold to this product, so i do recommend working in your gel/other caster/setter of choice after. I use straight aloe vera. Unfortunately the effect does not last, which is important since i don't know many curlies who wash and completely restyle their hair every day - if that's you, you may have just found the HG! Again compared to my normal hair routine, the next day this product makes my hair dull, and somehow limp AND frizzy at the same time. Nothing really fixes it until i wash my hair. The stark difference really blows my mind. I do sleep in a satin bonnet and don't have this issue with any other products in my rotation. About my hair, for reference: I have 2B-3C curls, medium thickness, low porosity, and I've loosely followed the CG method for a decade (minimal traditional shampoo, therefore limiting use of products that build up). This product wouldn't make the method's cut, it causes a noticeable (to me) buildup that requires shampoo to wash out. It does not make hair healthier, it just makes it LOOK healthier for a short time. Dreamcoat does have its uses for me - this was a repeat purchase - but i cannot use it daily. If i have a special occasion and am washing my hair the day of, this is what i will reach for every time. If i'm washing the day before a special event, i'll not only avoid it but also cover the bottle with a black washcloth so it doesn't give my other hair products any cheeky ideas about making me look like a poodle that got left out in the rain.
