Thoroughly wet hair from roots to ends with lukewarm water. Squeeze out excess moisture. Lather a quarter size amount of shampoo in hands. Part hair using fingers and apply shampoo as close to the scalp as possible. Let set for 1 to 3 minutes. Rinse. Squeeze out excess moisture before applying conditioner. Rinse with cold water to close the hair cuticle and added shine.
Precautions: Avoid contact with eyes. If contact occurs, rinse well with water.

This was my first product from OUAI, and I definitely wish I had the matching conditioner to use with it. The first thing I noticed was how amazing it made my hair smell, and it lathered incredibly well. It truly gives your hair that deep-clean, detoxified feeling. As someone with curly hair who regularly uses a lot of styling products, I was impressed by how refreshed my hair felt after just one wash. My four-day-old hair felt completely revived, and my scalp felt noticeably cleaner and fresher. The only downside was that my hair felt a little dry afterward, but following up with conditioner easily solved that. I do think this shampoo works best when paired with a conditioner, but considering how deeply cleansing it is, a slight loss of moisture is to be expected. That being said, it didn't leave my hair feeling stripped, crunchy, or deprived of its natural oils—just clean and refreshed. Gifted by OUAI.
