Thoroughly wet hair from roots to ends with lukewarm water. Squeeze out excess moisture. Lather a quarter size amount of shampoo in hands. Part hair using fingers and apply shampoo as close to the scalp as possible. Let set for 1 to 3 minutes. Rinse. Squeeze out excess moisture before applying conditioner. Rinse with cold water to close the hair cuticle and added shine.
Precautions: Avoid contact with eyes. If contact occurs, rinse well with water.

This shampoo is amazing without drying. was using redkin cleaning cream previously. Ouai doesn't dry out or strip color! it preps hair and scalp for oils, products, styling or air dry.

I struggle with product buildup and oily roots, especially from styling products and dry shampoo, so I like to use a clarifying shampoo regularly. I added the OUAI Detox Shampoo into my routine about once a week as a reset wash, followed by a moisturizing conditioner. This shampoo does a great job of deeply cleansing the scalp without completely stripping my hair. It lathers well and leaves my hair feeling really clean and refreshed, especially at the roots. After using it, my hair felt lighter and had more movement, and I noticed it stayed cleaner for longer between washes. It is definitely a stronger clarifying shampoo, so I wouldn't use it daily, particularly if your hair is dry or color-treated. For me, it works best as an occasional detox wash. The scent is clean and not overpowering, and you don't need much product for it to work. Overall, this is a solid option if you're dealing with buildup and want a true deep-clean shampoo that still leaves your hair feeling manageable.
