I was so excited to receive this Dazzlelips Crayon in Moon Rocket from MAC as I'm a true MAC glamour girl at heart for over 25 years! This product surely does not disappoint if you know how to use it correctly. Most of MAC products are extremely pigmented and not meant to go on heavy or heavy handed...

MAC always made the BEST lip products- until they didn't. They completely revamped and reformulated their lip products, but not for the better. It was my first time trying a sparkly lip crayon. The product applies easily and lasts. But I'm not sure if it's for me or if it was the wrong shade. I just felt like it looked like I put on one of those kid makeup lip glosses. So if you're into costume or bold makeup you should try it. Might be perfect for Halloween. I received the MAC Dazzle Lips Crayon in Crown Jewel. It goes on the lips as a white/glittery shimmer. It applies very smooth on the lips and has a nice light scent. It reminds me of winter frost and sugar cookies. I like it better as a topper. It gave my matte red lip stain a satin finish. I'm curious as to how the other colors look as toppers. I think they are perfect for the upcoming holidays. Although the product is not drying, if you have dry lips like mine, I'd recommend exfoliating/moisturizing before application. I love that you don't have to sharpen it. Just twist the bottom for more product. I received this product for free from MAC for testing and review purposes.

So I got the Lightening Bug color crayon, which is kinda like a cool-toned mauve with a shimmery, multi-dimensional sparkle. I have fair skin, and it looked fantastic and I also tried it on my daughter who has olive complexion and it looked fabulous. I tried it alone, with lip gloss (clear and different colors), as well as with lipstick and it looked really nice. I love that it's versatile, it's the kind of thing I look for in a product. I was also really surprised that it faded naturally and didn't have the weird looking crusty outline over time. I was able to eat and drink and reapply several hours later.
