THE VERY BEST
Hair Type Very Curly Hair
All of a sudden, almost every gel in the world is now a medium gel for "soft" hold--please, more like frizz and stretched out curls that never bounce back up. Very tired of this nonsense and love that I found this. I have 3B thick hair and this stuff is amazing (note that my hair loves protein). I pair it with the plump for joy and its greatttt. I can't believe it's only like, $9. It beats out almost every other gel I've tried in recent memory, from high to low cost (Curlsmith, LUS, Aveda, bumble and bumble, Pattern, AG, innersense--all a few I've tried along with pretty much every other drugstore brand and a few weird salon brands I've picked up over the years). How I use it: I take a dime sized amount and smooth it into each section of my hair: bottom, mid, and top. I brush each section out and scrunch. I will admit, it IS a bit hard to brush through, even with my hair detangled, but I can live with that. I then spray about 5 pumps of plump for joy all over my hair and scrunch and diffuse. Boom, great results. I just use a little bit more to refresh on damp hair the next day and we're back in business. I do think the plump for joy makes a big difference; without it my hair can be a bit stringy and lacking oomph (I think because of all the protein in this).

okay so i have tried a billion different gels over the years and this is absolutely the best gel ever. i am biracial and have a pretty unique hair type in my opinion with a coarse texture but not the tightest curl pattern (i'm maybe a 3A-3B-ish) i love this gel because ot gives me so so SO much definition and creates a great curl cast which i've learned is necessary for my hair to combat frizz. everything else i've tried has not given me a good cast or been too heavy on my hair. i will purchase this gel over and over again. PLEASE NEVER STOP MAKING THIS!!!

Please do not ever change or discontinue this gel! It's perfect for fine curlies who don't want flat hair. It has grit, you scrunch out the crunch, fluff and it doesn't fall flat. No frizz. I'm in love.
Cheaper version of Curlsmith
I LOVE this gel! It gives a great hold that last me for at least 4-5 days on my wash and go. Pair it with a hair cream for great moisture. This is a dupe to curlsmith in shower styler.
