Most Helpful Positive Review Best blue shampoo for sensitive skin but has fragrance I use this to tone my very dark brown, dyed hair (darkest intense brown NN). It keeps the brassiness at bay when needed, and it's especially helpful when my color needs to be refreshed soon. It can't cover grays, but nothing is worse than having gray AND red roots.
I only wish this shampoo was fragrance-free. I am intolerant of many hair product ingredients due to sensitive skin, and this shampoo ticks all the right boxes except for the added fragrance. For those not intolerant of fragrances, the smell is a unisex, cologne type smell.
Most Helpful Critical Review Doesn't do what it promises I have naturally medium brown hair and had dyed my hair a darker brown at a salon. As it started to wash out it started to have a more noticeable red undertone that I didn't like, so I bought this in an attempt to tone it between salon visits. I have previously used a purple shampoo on brassy highlights with good results so thought this blue shampoo specifically for redness in my brown hair would work. The shampoo is drying, and even after leaving it in longer than recommended, doesn't make enough of a difference to continue to use it. Would not recommend to a friend and wish I would've read more reviews before spending so much on both the shampoo and conditioner. (Conditioner is even worse, not concentrated and shows no difference).

I haven't noticed a removal of brassy blond yet .
I wont use it in the shower next time . It dried out my skin. In the sink only , shampoo next time.
It may take more use to see the effect.

I have dark brunette hair that I color b/c of grays. After a few weeks my color gets REALLY brassy and I hate it. Cool Brunette Shampoo and Conditioner have been a game changer. My color no longer gets brassy. It actually works. I'm amazed.
Very pleased with the Cool Brunette Shampoo 5

My brunette locks with honey highlights always start to go brassy about 4 weeks after I leave the salon. I absolutely hate the brassiness so a friend told me about dp HUE. The first time I used the shampoo somewhat sparingly and had satisfactory results. The second time I was a bit more generous with the application and was very happy to see that about 90% of the brassiness gone. I find the smell is subtle and pleasant and have not experienced any problem with the shampoo drying out my hair. I'm so happy I found this product!
Great product but the smell is unbareable. 1

This product works very well but the smell triggers a headache for me, it is awful and so strong. I tried to get over it and used it several times but even after my hair is dry I can smell it and it is not worth the headache. Returning it. :(
Game changer!! 5

I have dark brown hair that's also been colored and bleached .... so my color was so uneven and not cute. this shampoo evened out my natural color and even darkened my lightened bleached spots!!! will be buying again!!

I was soooooooo disappointed in this product. I tried it several times, even leaving it on my hair for over 45 minutes, and my hair was just as copper colored as before I used it. What a waste of money!
Love this! 5

I used this once and had an instant headache while in the shower. It's like someone dumped an entire bottle of men's cologne on my head. I hoped it would fade, but it hasn't.

I have blonde and brown highlights and with other blue shampoos I have used, it didn't matter if I put the blue on blonde highlights. BUT this shampoo dyed my blonde highlights like a greenish blue color. Thankfully my red ken purple shampoo and some dish soap helped removed it. I only recommend this for full head of brown hair.

I had a bad lightening experience and my hair was orange. I'm very sensitive and everything causes a reaction but this had no bad effects and definitely muted the orange. Used with dphue semi-perm dark brown conditioner.
love this shampoo! 5

The shampoo and conditioner are both great! The shampoo isn't overly drying while still cleansing my hair and my scalp. It smells amazing too! MUST have for brunettes who want cooler toned hair during COVID, but can't go to a salon!
Shocked 5

I have tried many products to fix my hair and this is the only one where I saw a remarkable difference from the first use. It softened and strengthened my hair right away and took the brass right out. I was shocked that this product could do what I've always hoped a product could do for my hair. I am glad my hIt Stylest recommenced it to me.
Its just okay 3

It doesn't feel like it fully cleanses my hair. Often a residue left behind. Kinda softens it, makes it shiny. the conditioner with it is also just okay. I have fine medium length hair for reference, and residue left behind kinda weighs it down. Only benefit may be that it doesn't strip color but if it doesn't clean hair well then you shampoo more so it cancels out.

I have ordered the shampoo, conditioner, gray cover up, and the gloss + medium brown. I love it all.

I have used this product twice now. I thought it did a very nice job at toning the brassy tones in my hair. I will keep using this product. I will probably buy again.
Hated it 1
Amanda from USA
The shampoo did nothing to change the brassy orange color, especially at my roots. It did however give me lots of buildup dandruff! I would make sure every bit of this shampoo was washed out and still would end up with so much flaking. So in the end I ended up with flakey scalp, really brass roots, kind of toned mids and my ends took to it nicely.
Brilliant formula... 5

BEST BRUNETTE TONING SHAMPOO 5

100x better than pravana blue shampoo. Smells amazing, and the only shampoo that maintains my color being that I am Spanish and have very warm undertones whenever I lighten or color my hair.

It does not work at all. It didn't get the brassiness and red/orange tones out of my hair at all. I am super disappointed. I never spend this much on shampoo but I read some good reviews from ulta and here and got my hopes up. I used it a couple times, and left it in longer for more "toning power" like it said but it did not make a difference.

Great job combating orange 5
Csndt184 from Chico, CA
I'm a brunette and I dyed my hair and I needed a product to combat the orange tones and I decided to try this product out. To me I didn't think there was an intense smell or anything. After one use I noticed a difference and I love using this product.
