Honestly this hair dye was nothing special to me, its definitely different from other dyes, but not necessarily in a better way. The dye is very, very thick, almost like a goopy pomade. Its very difficult to get a good amount of coverage over your hair without using a significant amount of the produ...ct, however it does ensure the dye will fully saturate all of your hair. It does a good job of covering other dye, I had a faded pink-toned purple in my hair that I wasnt able to get out and the orange covered it very well, its been about a month and its beginning to fade to a sort of salmon color in the places the purple was. It is a very vibrant dye, you definitely get whats advertised. I didnt notice my hair feeling especially soft after using it, it didnt seem to do anything special for my hair after I bleached it, but it definitely didnt do any harm. I put the dye on freshly bleached hair, it was very blonde with some yellow tones, and the orange showed up incredibly vibrant. I left it in for an hour, and I noticed while I was rinsing my hair that the water would NOT. RUN. CLEAR. Ive never had that issue with dye before, and I dye my hair a lot, but I knew better than to shampoo my hair immediately after dying it, so I put in some conditioner (Ive been using the polychrome conditioner and it pairs quite well with the dye) to try to seal in the color that was left and went to bed. The color didnt bleed at all, the dye itself didnt stain the surfaces it got on, and my hair didnt dye any of my bedding despite not shampooing it. My care routine involves washing my hair as little as possible, I shampoo it maybe every other week, though I have gone swimming a few times and Im impressed with how well the dye has held up. Im not sure if its the dye or if the conditioner really is sealing the color in, but either way its really nice. I have thick, short hair and it took half the jar to fully saturate all of my hair, because the consistency is so thick and.. almost waxy, its very difficult to spread. Id like if it were a bit smoother, it wouldve made the application process significantly easier. But overall, Im not mad at the dye. Its been in my hair for maybe a month and there definitely is some fading, its definitely less vibrant, but the color is still very orange. I wouldnt say its the greatest dye Ive ever tried by any means, but Id say its on par with Arctic Fox and Iroiro. It doesnt fade as fast as Arctic Fox, though. (However, that could be because of the conditioner.) Its a nice dye, Id recommend it. Theres a good amount in the jar, but I really cant say if one will be enough to cover very long or very curly hair, because its difficult to spread and itll just glob onto your hair. This is definitely a dye that benefits from sectioning your hair into manageable pieces to apply, rather than just slapping it in and massaging it around until youre satisfied with the coverage. 8/10, not the end all be all, but a good dye.
