Avene cicalfate
The size 3.3fl oz came with the blue water separated, so almost half of the tube was this fluid. I tried to mix in tube but was unsuccessful. I did develope itchy areas on places I used the remaining lotion on. I would not recommend this size, maybe smaller size will have less problems. The separation may be due to cold weather, so results may vary.
Feels great on the skin, sinks in and moisturizes
I had a laser treatment on my face four days ago and while researching post-treatment care, I saw this Avene Cicalfate recommended on a variety of websites. I happened upon it in Ulta today and decided to give it a try. It's absolutely wonderful! My skin isn't as raw and red as it had been but still looks blotchy and it feels tight and this is the first lotion I've used that feels like it skins into the skin and really moisturizes. I understand there's a place for the ointments immediately post-procedure but I wish I'd had this on hand sooner. I've seen complaints about liquid separating from the cream but that wasn't an issue here at all. It's smooth and easy to apply and I love it!
Healing cream for face.
Deep moisture with a very light feel. Helps to heal chapped or flaky skin patches when applied AM and PM.
Causes dermatitis
Save yourself some coin and just get diaper rash cream instead, which has a high zinc oxide content to help with calming inflammation and glycerine for hydration. I'm almost certain this Avene cream gives me dermatitis around my nose. I thought it couldn't possibly be this cream causing the issue until I saw other reviewers with similar issues. I also think it's crazy that they charge so much for a product that uses mineral oil.
best product ever!!
I love this product! yes it can be watery at first but I found if you Knead the product instead of shaking it, it help incorporate the water into the product.. I actually prefer a water based product because it means less harsh chemicals.
