Hi, does this product help with discoloration? How many days a week would you recommend using this product?
- Asked by Sanjana
- Official Answer By cocokind - Brand EngageHi! Retinol helps increase skin cell turnover which can help brighten skin tone. If dark spots and discoloration are your main concerns, we recommend pairing our beginner retinol gel with chlorophyll discoloration serum for those concerns. Retinol should be used in your PM routine, every other night to start. Eventually, you can build up to using it every night. Was this answer helpful to you

Can i use this product with my salicylic acid cleanser/serum?
- Asked by Jenni
- Official Answer By cocokind - Brand EngageHi! Avoid using leave-on acids/exfoliants like glycolic and lactic acid, benzoyl peroxide, physical exfoliants, exfoliating pads, and other topical prescription medications when using retinol. Instead, just move them to your morning routine. For instance, you can use your cleanser and retinol in the same routine, but move your salicylic acid serum to your AM routine. Was this answer helpful to you

How long should you wait before switching to the Advance Retinol if the Beginner doesn't irritate your skin after a month or two of use? I have had only minor breakouts and some dryness in one area so far. Thanks!
- Asked by Retinol Beginner
- Official Answer By cocokind - Brand EngageHi! Everyone's skin is different, but we recommend starting out with Beginner Retinol 0.1% for at least 3 months. If your skin can tolerate it well and you experience no redness or irritation, then you can start transitioning to Advanced Retinol Gel 0.5%. We always recommend patch testing first, and slowly start to incorporate the Advanced Retinol Gel 0.5% 2-3x a week. Was this answer helpful to you

Hi! Only ingredient I see that I'm concerned about is soybean oil, which I've read can clog pores. Does the retinol counteract this?
- Asked by Jess
- Official Answer By cocokind - Brand EngageHi! There is actually no FDA regulation for the term “comedogenic." In fact, there are no standardized tests that can accurately determine if an ingredient will or will not clog your pores or cause breakouts. Skin health is completely individual and dependent on genetics and lifestyle choices, including skincare! Everyone's skin is different but I do hope you'll give our retinol a try for yourself. We also always recommend patch testing our products on a small area of skin to see if our ingredients work for you!Was this answer helpful to you

First off, I would like show my appreciation for the awesome instructions on how to use this retinal gel. 10/10 recommend!!!!
Adding retinol to my skin care routine has been one of the best decisions I've made. I am one month into using the beginner retinol and my skin has improved significantly. My fine lines and wrinkles have reduced and overall skin texture is much smoother. Highly recommend this product!

This is my first retinol product Ive ever used and I genuinely love it. I have had clear skin my whole life and just had break outs here and there but I went through a season of stress where I didn do my routine as much causing my skin to feel dull and blah. When I was purchasing my go to products I saw this and wanted to try. After one use I felt my skin was less dull and it felt so much better and looked better. It also did not irritate my skin or dry it.
You should use this...
