Most Helpful Positive Review SO GOOD! Great for course THICK hair!
This will give you a SILK PRESS finnish in no time!! I love it! Its heavy but performs effortlessly without hand aches from squeezing. I barley have to do anything. IT HAS A LOCK SWITCH!
I have long, think, curly, strong, course biracial hair (Like the movie Brave) and this iron straightens it in 1 pass. I use Redken Diamomd oil and Alterna heat spray (blue bottle not Bamboo) for heat protectant as well.
This iron is HEAVY DUTY, built to last and feels very PRO.
VERY long cord.
wide plates that are rounded on the edge, so it makes tight curls, beautifully, for my pinup style.
Ladies... I never leave reviews but this thing has seriously changed me. I would dread washing my hair knowing that i had to flat iron afterward. Thia makes me happy to do my hair ans cut the time by half.
Best money ive spent at ULTA
Most Helpful Critical Review DO NOT BUY
I bought this and used it with no issues for 6 months. Then last week it FRIED my hair. My long hair is DONE and still, after washing, smells burnt. Then when I went to turn it back on to try it on a lower setting, it wouldn't heat up. I think the heating coil got overly hot the last time I did my hair, fried it, then burned itself out.

This worked so great for my really thick hair. My hair is also pretty long a few inches past my bra strap not quite waist length. You will love it. I don't like my hair super bone straight. It got my hair nice so it's still thick but still very light and flowing.

I got this straightener bc my hair stylist used it every time she cut my hair and loved the results! It makes my hair so shiny and is much faster to straighten my hair (bob length, thick/coarse hair). Keeps it shiny all day! Although, next day it isn't as straight as it was the day of straighten (might mean I need more products?) but the shine and it looks healthy is there! The price intimidated me, but I saved up all my Ulta points and used a 20% off coupon. I think that I would've paid full price for it still. It does make a noise (can't notice it until it's close to your ears) but I think it's the ions making the sound. Overall, highly recommend!

Good quality. Lasts for years. Was nervous paying the extra money but LOVE it. The iron is rounded on the edges which I believes helps from pulling strands of hair.Highly recommend. Worth every penny.
I bought this for myself and my daughter

I usually keep my hair braided but wanted to straighten it to cut it. After it was straightened, cut and curled, I decided to just wear it that way. I'm really happy with this flat iron/curling iron!
I would buy this again!!!
vc from Macon, Georgia
I straighten one section at a time and don't have to go back over the sections that I have already done. It provides great smoothness after one use!!! Light weight and durable!! Definitely professional and worth the extra money.
best product yet!

I returned another flatiron in hopes of finding one that flat ironed without multiple passes. The beauty advisor directed me to this one. I was not expecting it to be on the bottom shelf in the corner almost unseen. She let me know it was the best. I believed her. I asked her for help with finding a curling wand. She said no. I looked at her shook. She said the plates on this iron doubles as curling iron. I was convinced. She was right about everything. This iron is amazing! The only con is the slight noise of ions. It annoys me but not too much to want to try another iron. I know I will be keeping this iron for years.
Not a Fan- Go with something else...

I'm just all in all not a fan. So much so that after spending the money on this I reverted back to my 10 year old sedu straightener and this is sitting under the sink. The "curling" portion is an absolute joke. I bought it for a versatile curling/straightener but quickly came to realize that the wands i have are so much easier and faster than this tool. As far as the straightening portion of it? It's ok. Heats up quick and makes a odd buzzing sound. I have thin hair so I turn the heat way down but it always comes out frizzy even after using syrums.
Save your money.

Typically if I want my hair straight down to the root I have to blow dry it first. With this iron I can get shined smooth hair from root to ends! My hair stays sleek and shine y'all day. The hot plates curve around the outside which makes it easy to straighten, curls, or just style hair of all types. Its great that there are several heat settings! Sometimes irons do not get hot enough for my hair, and the humidity will make it waves again in minutes. This iron keeps my hair looks great all day! This is the iron my stylist uses, hence my purchase. It's worth the try for sure!
Even Stylists Struggle with This Tool...
MoonshineDragonfly from Kalamazoo, MI
I chose this applicance because of the great reviews, the wide range of temperature settings, and especially for the fact that you're supposed to be able to use it for both straightening and curling. Ha ha.
Right away I realized that I hated the lock. It's in a terrible location, and because of the direction the button slides, it constantly locks when you don't want it locked. But I didn't give up on it right away. I pulled up multiple videos explaining how to use it to make curls or waves. NOT.
I thought I was doing the same maneuver as the stylists in the videos, but I could not make curls if my life had depended on it. So I took it with me to see my stylist, who tried it out on my hair after cutting it. She also hated the lock, and even though she was teaching me the proper technique to use this applicance to make curls, they were not turning out very well. And they did not last.
It did do a fair job straightening my hair, but it definitely did not make it as smooth and shiny as they claim. the only thing I really ended up liking about it is the way it looks. It is definitely not worth its extreme price tag. It was returned.
I would buy this again for sure!!!

I wanted to love this BUT OMG GIRLS!!!
This is WAY to heavy for a hair tool. Way easy to burn yourself. AND HOT to the touch. Did I say HOT yes I think I said too HOT to handle?
Also the sides when you are trying to get some of the longer hairs infront to straighten out I singed my scalp. I heard so many GREAT things about this and I have used quite a few on my medium curly hair but even on LOW setting that is how HOT it is. Retuned it and bought a CHI LAVA. LOVE IT!
Not the best quality for the price
Baelee from UT - Utah
I thought that this product would last me a long time and give me a quality result for such a high price, but it didn't. I went over the same section multiple times on the highest heat and even after it finally straightened I had frizzy hairs on top. My hair is wavy and in some places curly, if you have pretty naturally straight hair already then it should work. If not, I would pick something different.
Jewel7x70 from Riverside
Wanted to love this BUT...OH MY LANTA does it get HOT even on low to medium setting. I have frizzy type of ringlet to straight underneath and this sucker gets HOT. When you pick it up I almost drop it because the handle gets HOT...Did I mention the word HOT? Ok nuff said. Will return if Ulta is allowing it at this time. If not then glad I got it on sale with my rewards.
I would not buy this product
Ja from Miami
This product is not worth the price. It gets hot on the ends it burnt my ear and neck. I returned it not a good purchase.

It worked great on my daughter's hair!
Carrie from Charlotte, NC
Just like another user mine stopped working after 3 years. It was amazing up until that point. Sometimes, if I'm lucky I can get it to turn on, but as soon as I increase the heat setting it just turns off and stops working. My stylist said it should last ten years. Nope. I did love it though when it worked.

I wanted to like this product. I've been searching for a hair straightener that can curl too, this one is just not worth the money! My $20 remington one does a better job...
First of all its too heavy! My arms were sore after doing my hair
Secondly, it took me 45 minutes to try to curl my hair which wasn't curls after all and after 2-3 hours it was all gone. I have thick hair and never had problem curling my hair...
Also it burnt my carpet bc the sides and outside get so hot that you cant leave it on any surface!
Finally it makes a weird sound as soon as You turn it on...
Tried it 2 times... going to return
Absolutely great for long thick hair

Heats fast and quicky can get my hair straight no matter how wavy.

I had a haircut and the Ulta stylists was very helpful, when I asked what she had used on me during my salon visit. Now I feel like I'm in the salon everyday!!
Love it the best
