Drybar's Blonde Ale Brightening Shampoo contains deep purple pigments that cancel out warmth in blonde, gray and white hair. Gentle formula cleanses without drying out strands. Lemon Extract brightens highlights and preserves the integrity of the hair color. Chamomile Extract gently boosts blonde tones while increasing shine. Keratin, a highly moisturizing protein, reinforces the structure of the hair and helps prevent damage. Great for all blonde, gray and highlighted hair.
Massage a generous dollop into wet hair from roots to ends. Rinse immediately and thoroughly. Use up to 2 times per week. Not recommended for use on hair extensions.

satisfied and amazed

Comments about Drybar Blonde Ale Brightening Shampoo:

I have very thick wavy hair, blonde highlights. they get brassy very fast, I never write reviews and this is my first time trying purple shampoo/conditioner. I was pretty suprised i saw a difference my second wash. although a little bit goes a long way if you have highlights, i wish they had bigger bottles. loved the smell, price was good. I stopped using purology.

It smells nice.

Comments about Drybar Blonde Ale Brightening Shampoo:

I loved Drybar's "The Chaser" Shine Cream so I thought I would try this as my first purple shampoo. My hair although lightened seemed pretty healthy so I didn't dilute. After rinsing I realized my hair felt really hard and brittle so I attempted to add some Kenra's Snail Cream (which did nothing to help as far as I can tell) to my hair and my blonde started breaking off, which got worse when I gently tried to comb it through. The next day I let some AG Restore conditioner sit on my head in the shower and added the shine cream afterwards in an amount which previously left my hair looking OVER-conditioned but now my hair looks dry and frizzy as heck and my ends are wrecked. I will be returning this Blonde Ale and I should add it turned my cuticles faintly purple but my hair still has the same pale orange pieces, now they're just dried out and breaking off. Next time I'll just go to my hair stylist to tone my hair. :(

I've tried many purple shampoos and this one is the best smelling one, doesn't make your hair dry and brittle and I can see the difference in my hair color after 2 or 3 washes. I love it!

Comments about Drybar Blonde Ale Brightening Shampoo:

I used it for the first time and only left it on for about a minute, and it didn't work. The next day I left it on for 10 and followed with a deep conditioner and noticed a huge difference. All of the brassiness in my hair was gone, my hair was shiny, and i look like a natural dirty blonde. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is because the directions say to rinse immediately, but then the product doesn't work. Leave it in depending on how brassy your hair is (mine was very brassy), you just kind of have to find what works for your hair. It never turned my hair purple, so i think that leaving it in for longer really can't hurt it as long as you follow with deep conditioner, because it does dry hair out like many purple shampoos.

I use it 2-3 times a week. It keeps my blonde from brassiness. Works well with purple conditioner. Not a wallet friendly.

Comments about Drybar Blonde Ale Brightening Shampoo:

I researched this product very well before i spent the money on it. The product did smell good, not great, and it was very subtle. My hair does not feel amazing or terrific after using it. I honestly think Panteen smells better and does a better job. Ultimately, this product is just not worth the money. The do a great job at marketing it though!

It is a bit drying if you use it by itself, but if you shampoo and condition first, (like they do in the salon) it's fine. I wish it smelled better, but it does what it's supposed to do.

Comments about Drybar Blonde Ale Brightening Shampoo:

I was really excited to try this brand after all the good things I've heard about them, but I am not very impressed. Since I've started using this product, my hair must be washed daily. I can usually go 3 days without a wash, but cannot with this! My hair is also dry and I have suffered a lot of breakage... I do have to get it 3 stars because my hair is at least blonder, but other than that I have nothing great to say. Will not purchase again.
