Gentle cleansing but not hydrating for drier hair types

I have multi textured strands and multi curl patterned dry type 3 & 4 low porosity hair. True cleansing is imperative for any wash day to turn out good for me. Hydrating shampoos are my favorite to cycle through since clarifying all the time can mess up the moisture balance and ph of my hair at time...

This shampoo is a must-have for curly hair. It cleanses gently without stripping moisture, leaving curls soft, defined, and frizz-free. The formula feels lightweight but still deeply hydrating, and a little goes a long way. After a few washes, my curls looked healthier, shinier, and more manageable. Perfect if you want clean, bouncy curls without dryness.

I was super excited to try this olaplex shampoo as I have used other products in their line and have enjoyed them very much. The packaging was consistent with what I would expect and it smelled very fresh and clean. which I liked. When I first used the product it lathered nicely and cleaned my hair as I would expect. Once my hair dried though it felt somewhat greasy. It also was a bit heavier on my hair and seemed to weigh down my curls. Having finer hair I don't think this would be a good product for someone with a similar hair texture to me.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend

I have frizzy, wavy and hard to manage hair. I have been having a lot of hairfall lately so I am looking for haircare products to manage my hairfall and frizz. This Olaplex shampoo has been working surprisingly well on my hair. The shampoo is thick and emulsifies easily. It foams well and cleans scalp buildup but it does not feel harsh. It does not have any strong fragnance. I love the bottle shape and size which fits easily on my bathroom counter. Double cleansing is very easy with this shampoo.

I've been a long time lover of Olaplex bond maintenance shampoo and conditioner, and the new formula is just as good as ever! My favorite thing about this shampoo is the lather and how clean it gets my hair while retaining moisture. The texture of the product is silky and the lather is dense and luxurious. For my waist length curly hair I only have to use a quarter sized amount. I like to run a brush through my hair before rinsing (if you haven't tried "brush through shampoo" this is your sign!) to distribute the suds and add definition. It rinses super clean and leaves my hair feeling strong and healthy for days! I like to follow with the Bond Maintenance conditioner and gel, then plop for 20 minutes and air dry.

The Olaplex Bond Shaper Curl Shampoo is actually so good if your curls need a reset without feeling stripped. It cleans my hair but still keeps it soft and hydrated which is rare for a shampoo. My curls feel more defined and bouncy after using it and not frizzy or dry. It has that clean salon feel but still gentle enough to use regularly. A little goes a long way and it leaves my hair feeling stronger over time. Perfect if your curls need moisture and shape without being weighed down.
