Most Helpful Positive Review Best Dry Shampoo I've Ever Tried
I took my hair into sections spraying this product at the roots, let it dry like the directions said and then brushed it out. I have dark hair so it was a pleasant surprise that this product was not white like most dry shampoos. I don't know why other reviews say that it is sticky? Maybe they are applying to much and it's staying wet. It does exactly what it says! I love it and will continue to buy this dry shampoo!
Most Helpful Critical Review Disappointed
I am searching for the best dry shampoo and have tried several brands. I usually like Big Sexy hair products, but their dry shampoo was pretty disappointing. I put it in this morning after not having washed my hair since yesterday morning and my hair feels dirtier than it did before I put it in...When I put my hands through my hair, they come out with the product on them and my hair just feels sticky and coarse (it is usually silky-ish and relatively fine). It IS good for a solid bun that will stay in place...but I could never put my hair down after putting this in it.

Great stuff but a little pricey. Nice when it was in sample kit. Needed it for hospital.
Liv from Charleston, SC
Does not do a good job of making my hair look less greasy. Also, it makes my hair feel coarse and sticky.
My favorite dry shampoo
Long haired woman from Ohio
I have been using this dry shampoo for 5-6 yrs. I love it. I stock up on it when it's on sale so it bring the cost down per bottle.
gina from IN
will not buy again the spray is so strong not matter how far i spray will make me cough real bad ,maybe got a bad bottle but will never buy again
JaneyC from Texas
I like the volume from this dry shampoo but it's just not worth the price.
the most amazing formula ever
karenrose from virginia
this formula is AMAZING for those of us who have thinner hair and oily scalps. It also adds texture so i sometimes use it on freshly washed hair. A little goes a long way. I have a feeling the negative reviews are from people who have thick hair and used too much product. I could see how this could dry out someone's hair if they are not naturally oily.
Best Dry Shampoo
Whitney from Wellington, FL
I have been using this dry shampoo for years! Every time I try a different one I wish I was back to this one. I love that it gives my hair lift and texture instead of just making it look clean. I use it every time I need that little refresher and sometimes just for the texture and volume it creates!
Bought by mistake (wanted chi dry shampoo)
K from California
The picture (online) looked so much like the Chi dry shampoo that I normally purchase, and I didn't realize it was another brand until I used it. (I did note the bottle size was smaller when I unpacked it, but thought it would be a good travel size). However, I was very disappointed when I used it because of the way my hair felt. It wasn't soft anymore. The spray left a residue that made it feel kind of tacky. It did smell nice and technically it works I guess. I plan to keep it for my bag, but won't buy it again
I won't buy anything else.
MRM from WI
This is definitely a high level dry shampoo---I don't think those with hair that isn't too oily or those who don't want texture added will enjoy. For those of us that are literal grease buckets though (it keeps my skin looking young at least!) this stuff is a godsend. Most dry shampoos sort of "die out" on my hair quickly, and I just look greasy again a few hours later. Not with this. It adds volume , helps me style, and soaks up every spot of oil in my hair. It holds up throughout the day, even in high humidity.
I have found if you spray too close to the root, you will get the gritty texture others mention. I actually prefer this as it helps to hold my hair in place, but for those who don't want the texture, just spray farther away and brush out with a thicker bristle.
In summary---I am in love with this dry shampoo.
Won't buy again
Jamie from Tennessee
I bought this product in stiller because I've been searching for a dry shampoo without a strong, perfumey (scent allergies) smell. I used it several times and each time, it caused these huge flakes to develop on my scalp where I sprayed it. It's too bad because I love the smell. 😕
Rhianna from Fond du Lac, WI
I was excited to use this because I love Big Sexy Hair's powder play, heat protectant, and hairspray. The Big Sexy Hair Dry Shampoo? Not so much. Another reviewer commented that their hair felt dirtier than before they used this and I agree. This makes my hair sticky/hard to manage and is nearly impossible to tease after letting the dry shampoo sit for 2 minutes (as according to the directions). I like the smell, but that's about it. I am an avid dry shampoo user and this is at the bottom of my list - will only use this in a pinch or on my last day before washing.
Absorbs oil, adds volume, smells good, no residue
Michelle from Pennsylvania
I have brown, thin hair that gets greasy pretty easily. It is my favorite dry shampoo. I have been using it for nearly 10 years and have tried other brands like Kenra (pretty good as well), tresseme, batiste, and Joico. Nothing compares to "sexy hair" brand dry shampoo- it does not discolor my hair, people compliment me on the smell, and as an additional bonus adds volume(sometimes I use it only to add body to my roots). I only wish the bottles came larger so I didn't have to buy them so frequently.
Similar to spray glue
Jess from Utah
Do not get this if you don't want to add a lot of texture to your hair. I do have thick hair and this really would be the equivalent to spraying glue in it. I can barely brush through it after and that's with only applying a little.
not my favorite from this line
nessa from NE
left my hair really gritty.
My hair looks new
Steph from Mass
Takes away the oil and makes my hair look full. People think my hair was just done at the salon not knowing I haven't washed it in days.
LaciR from Charlottesville VA
I would never buy this again. The only reason I decided to try it was because it was cheap for Black Friday. It made my hair look worse than what it did before! It was very hard to manage and comb out. It was almost like a hairspray texture. I hated it, so I just gave it away.
My least favorite dry shampoo
Pnwbeautylover from West coast
I've used a lot of dry shampoos and I've never hated one as much as this one. It makes your roots feel wet when you spray it on. It also does not even absorb any oil. My hair felt like crunchy, dry straw from this product. I would not recommend at all.
Sami0220 from Reno, NV
I want to love it because it's dry shampoo but I haven't ever found a good one. Idk if I'm doing something wrong but🤷🏻♀️ It makes my hair feel rough
Gets the job done

I like this dry shampoo it is effective and I appreciate the fullness and texture it adds I just wish it smelled better. I'll still recommend it but it definitely has an odd smell to it
FAV DRY SHAMPOO
Danielle from Columbia, MO
Cannot recommend enough - it's my can't live without hair care product
Barely worked and made hair crispy
Alex from Superior WI
This product made my hair super crispy like a hair spray, barely did anything that a dry shampoo would do and help with. Very disappointed. It at least smells nice.
My favorite dry shampoo
Brittany072 from Indiana
I use this product between washes, and love that it seems to go a long way... a few sprays seem to freshen up my hair well. I've used other dry shampoos and have had to use a lot more product for the same result. I have ash blonde hair, and it works well. I did notice a "powdery look" when a friend who is darker blonde used this, however. Overall, works great with my hair color and texture... but may not blend well with darker shades of hair.
Very polarizing product...
Renee from GA
This is a very polarizing product. You either absolutely love it or hate it, and I happen to love it. If you just want a simple "second day hair" refresher, this is probably not the product for you. It is an extreme oil absorber, almost to the point of drying hair out. But if you have extremely oily hair, this is a life saver. For more normal to dry hair types who just need to freshen up in between washes, this probably is not what you need.
Very small can for the price and stinks like spray paint
Glamourgoggles from Houston, Tx
Product stinks so bad like spray paint I thought it might be counterfeit. Also is a tiny can for the price. And as other reviewers have stated, it's more like a texturizing spray than dry shampoo. Extremely disappointed because some celebrity recommended it inStyle magazine.
SLP N TN from Mountain City, TN
This is the best dry shampoo I've found. It leaves hair looking shiny, but it does make hair feel kind of gritty. I have normal, highlighted hair, and I have been able to use this two days in a row before having to wash my hair.
