Small and mighty dry shampoo!

This dry shampoo is great! It's a non-aerosol dry shampoo, and uses a little mechanical pump to release the powder. The instructions say "˜a little goes a long way' and they are accurate! Pushing the pump down once all the way releases a LOT of the powder in one area, so I recommend pressing slightl...y down with "micro-pumps" so you can distribute a small amount of the powder to each area of roots you are targeting. As the instructions state, I massaged the powder into my roots with my fingers, so I could feel the powder absorb the grease, and when I was good, then I lightly brushed my hair/roots to make it look nice. The volume was pretty good and was fairly noticeable with the top layers of hair. Since I don't wash my curly hair everyday, especially during the winter, this product was good to refresh my hair/roots in between washes. I was able to use this 2 days back to back before feeling like my hair was too dry and needed an actual wash, but you may be able to go 3 days back to back of use, depending on the season/weather and how dry or oily your hair is during that time of year. I'm in an area currently experiencing colder temperatures, strong winds, little humidity and fires at the moment, so my hair is not getting very greasy compared the summer when it's hot and sweaty. Dry shampoos in general are often white powder and make hair look lighter, in the areas it was distributed. This one won't leave patches of noticeable powder if you rub it in appropriately, and blends in fairly well once brushed. Compared to the "invisible" version (which is a tan-ish color powder) of this, this one is only slightly less "bright" appearing when on the hair, but this powder is a gray tone tint. When I spray it on my palm next to each other (the "invisible" is on the left, the "dark tinted" on the right of my palm), you can see the comparison of the product colors. The first photo of my hair is the product on my roots, not rubbed in or brush, and the second is after rubbing into my roots and brushing to smooth and blend. Overall, this is a great little dry shampoo and is very easy to use and control. However, since it's a grey powder, it may not be a dark enough tint for those with black, or dark tone hair that don't want the product to leave a "lighter" color appearance on their hair after use.
