This cleanser does an excellent job at removing all dirt and makeup. When I dry my face on a towel, there is absolutely no makeup residue (which I've seen with some other cleansers). Drying to the Skin!
I possess normal to Oily, sensitive skin and I find this cleanser to be much too drying. It does not contain any fragrance, which is wonderful for sensitive skin, and one only needs to use a pea sized amount for ample foam. However, it simply is too drying. This product is just "good." I always have to use a second cleanser because this one does not remove makeup.
Does more damage
I have very oily skin and I usually use their hydrating cleanser instead, which I love. This however made my skin so dry, didn't wash off my left over makeup at all, and made me breakout all over my face- even under my chin. I am also super pale so I get dark spots easily, this made them so hard to heal and my face looks patchy and red. Definitely do not reccomend if you use other strong products as well for acne or anything skincare related.
Not for those with stubborn acne
I have sensitive skin that's also prone to breakouts. I was hopeful that this product would be a good fit being gentle yet effective. It has cleared up blackheads on my nose but has left me with terrible breakouts on the rest of my skin. I do not recommend it for anyone who is prone to breakouts. It's also slightly drying, which I don't like.
Drying
I am combination skin, and I switched to this from the hydrating cleanser for two days, and it dried out my skin and gave me a few new whiteheads. I will be going back to the hydrating cleanser.
La Roche-Posay Toleraine Purifying Foaming Cleanser
This cleanser is soft, silky and very concentrated, which I love. But most importantly, it makes my skin feel smooth, silky and hydrated. A bonus is that it comes in a nice sized tube, great for traveling.
