Great question! Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm Makeup Remover is a makeup solvent. It removes even the toughest face and eye makeup. For best results, remove makeup before cleansing with your Clinique Facial Soap. Scoop out product with dry fingers and massage over dry face. Rinse with water. Gentle enough for chemo skin!

I am currently being treated for leukemia, and chemo is really harsh on my skin. I get rashes and scabs and my skin dries and peels. My skin has also become super sensitive all over, so I've had to stop using my regular products and find something gentler. I remembered using Clinique when I was youn...

Refuses to remove eyeliner and mascara

I have been using Clinique for over 30 years, and noticed a lot of changes (and not very positive ones at that). "Take the Day Off," in the old days was only sold as a liquid and did a great job! Now, I have both liquid and cream and neither removes non waterproof mascara or eyeliner. You'd have to ...

I've repurchased this every 3 months for about 2 years now. A bit pricey but I feel that I get my money's worth and its the only thing that does not break me out or cause my skin to flare up. I double cleanse with this and the blue La Rosch Posay.

Could be better

Let me start off with the pro: it does take off makeup. I wear waterproof mascara and it does a good job of getting it off without too much rubbing. But the cons: no matter how hard I squeeze my eyes shut, it manages it get into my eyes. Then I have a blurry cast over my eyes and it's hard to get it out! Another thing, it leaves the face feeling oily. I gave it 3 stars bc Ive tried other makeup removers that dont have either of those two issues. At this point Im just using it to get my moneys worth. Would not repurchase.
