Melasma from Birth Control
Fitzpatrick Scale 1, early 30's, normal/oily skin-type. I've developed melasma on the tops of my cheeks as well as a few spots on my cheeks triggered by birth control. It has a serum/milky texture and it feels moisturizing. I've been using this mainly in the evening as this makes my SPF pill. I do find this effective, in two weeks I have seen noticible fading in my melasma. I will preface my melasma looks about one to two foundation shades darker than my skintone. This does have a strong floral scent which dissipates after like ten minutes (or maybe I just don't notice it after that). Overall I would say this is effective.

I loveee Eucerin products- they're the only things that have saved me from my horrific eczema. My dermatologist recommended I try this serum for hyperpigmentation. I've used it twice so far and I am breaking out wicked and I can't help but think it's from the fragrance... Please make a fragrance-free version!

As a company that is a common go-to for many with sensitive skin, I am shocked by the fragrance in this serum. It is STRONG and BAD. I can't describe the smell - I wish I could - it is just incredibly off-putting immediately. I had to wash it off. Almost...sour? I really just can't believe they would add something so strong, much less so nauseating, to a Eucerin product. Even if I loved strong perfumes, this one just smells...BAD!

Worked at first. When i was satisfied i stopped using it and pigmentation came back even darker.
