I recently got the California Naturals Super Moisture Shampoo because it promises smooth, hydrated strands with a clean ingredient list. It's made with avocado oil, guava seed, and marula oil, and the bottle states that it's free from sulfates, parabens, and silicones with 99% natural ingredients. As someone who colors my hair, the fact that it's safe for color treated hair and comes in a recycled plastic bottle from a woman owned business added to its appeal. The shampoo has a "summer fig" fragrance that I found light and lovely, perfect for spring or summer. The instructions say to use a quarter sized amount, and I learned quickly that a little goes a long way. The first time I used it, I overdid it and felt like it stripped my hair; when I used just a tiny amount, it worked much better. I didn't have the matching conditioner, but even on its own the shampoo left my hair feeling clean and nicely clarified. I wouldn't say my hair felt overly hydrated, but it did feel refreshed and reset. Overall, I appreciate the natural ingredient list and eco friendly packaging, and the scent is enjoyable without being overpowering. Just remember to use a small amount to avoid overcleansing, and consider pairing it with a conditioner if you need extra moisture. Not for me.
I have wavy/curly low porosity hair. I wanted to love this so bad as it's a clean formula and a really good prive for amount. It smells amazing too! It isnt hydrating for my hair at all. It has dried out my hair and the matching conditioner just doesnt do enough to make up for how stripping thr shampoo is.

I would use this shampoo everytime i shower as i wanted to better my hair. I recently dyed my hair which unfortunately left it becoming very dry and feeling very dead. After a week of using this shampoo i started to feel the difference in my hair. My hair felt more smooth and hydrated.
