Ive used Matrix Vavoom forming gel for around 30 years and they have evidently discontinued it. Is kenra gel comparable to it? My hair is curly & somewhat course. I use curl cream, gel, and mousse after I wash my hair.

Been using this product for years after showering on dampened hair that has been detangled first and then finger scrunched and then air dried. The soft curls that result are full and amazing. Looks as though I dried and curling ironed for an hour instead of a few minutes of prep.

Smells like rubbing alcohol & dried my hair out
Kenra is usually my go-to brand however this product just didn't work for me. First of all I noticed a smell like rubbing alcohol and it seems to dry my hair out. I previously used Kenra's gel from the Platinum line and loved it but they quit making it. I thought this would be a good alternative....

Best hold I have found in a gel. This gel styles and holds the preferred style for hours. is easy to retouch style when needed. Comes in a convenient purse size easy to use tube. Hardens my hair for stand up style and smooths good but does not feel tackey like some gels. Does not feel sticky like hair spray does and the smell is not overpowering

Kenra is one of my favorite brands in hair products. I love the smell. I have fine hair so a little goes a long way for me. I tend to have static and fly aways and this product helps out quite a bit without weighing it down. Never flaky even after brushing my hair. Helps to hold the bouncy curls that I like to have. Kenra has always been a great product in both quality and value in my opinion.

This is a great styling gel. I used a small amount and even though it was light, it kept my small flyaways in place. This smells great too. Sleek packaging. I would recommend this product to my family and friends.

I have difficult to tame flyaways due to the heat and humidity in the south (and the kitchen at work). I lightly dampen my hair and then brush in a little kenra styling gel 17. It holds all day and there's no white flakes.

I have used some of Kenra product before but I must say the styling gel is amazing please go and get this gel it really works wonders on any type of hair .I will tell all my family and friends about this amazing product
