Ive used Matrix Vavoom forming gel for around 30 years and they have evidently discontinued it. Is kenra gel comparable to it? My hair is curly & somewhat course. I use curl cream, gel, and mousse after I wash my hair.

Been using this product for years after showering on dampened hair that has been detangled first and then finger scrunched and then air dried. The soft curls that result are full and amazing. Looks as though I dried and curling ironed for an hour instead of a few minutes of prep.

Smells like rubbing alcohol & dried my hair out
Kenra is usually my go-to brand however this product just didn't work for me. First of all I noticed a smell like rubbing alcohol and it seems to dry my hair out. I previously used Kenra's gel from the Platinum line and loved it but they quit making it. I thought this would be a good alternative....

I just recently used this product on my hair and I liked how it worked so far. It was easy to use and was not sticky and the scent was not bad at all . This is a good size product and doesn't take a lot to get the effect you want with your hair.

The styleling gel 17 does a great job of shaping and does not leave that stick feeling to your hair. I have thin hair and it helps me give it some volumn and style. I usually do not use gel styling products but I do like this one. Not heavy.

I started using firm hold gel by Kenra last week. I apply a small amount and move it through my hair. It comes in a 6 ounce tube. This hair gel has a sweet scent . It goes on light but keeps your hair controlled. You can also apply it wet or dry. I also like to let my hair dry naturally but you can also use a hair dryer. It does a great job and is easy to use.

I love my hair and I wear hair natural. I use products to give my hair curls but I also use a gel to hold my curls.what I like about Kendra styling gel 17.unlike other styling gels.it does not have that strong scent that can overwhelm you it's not greasy.i use on sectioned wet hair not to wet on top of my curl activator cream.I rake my hair through for curls and to make my curls last longer I do a two strand twist and unravel in the morning.I will use this gel on top of my curling gel I have
