I bought this hairdryer at a well known retailer. I purchased it because it looked versatile and less bulky than my current (aging) hairdryer. It work for about 20 seconds then it cut out. Tried it again, and it shut off after just a few seconds. I tried different outlets and still would not stay on. This seems to have some sort of faulty sensor that triggers a safety shut off. I returned the unit without any hassle. Because this seems to be a widespread problem, I did not try to get an exchange.
