Most Helpful Positive Review very gentle!
This makeup remover is perfect for me. I like to be thorough so I usually use up to 4 cotton rounds soaked with this stuff to remove all of my makeup. It is especially helpful for me because I am clinically depressed and am often out of energy to do much in the way of taking care of myself, and this I can do from bed. It has also been super helpful with evening out my skin tone and texture. Not sure if that is an intended benefit, but it's definitely welcome!
Most Helpful Critical Review Oily.
I've been using the micellar water with the green cap since I have oily skin and I love it.
My local store didn't have that one in stock so I picked up the one with the blue cap and I wish I hadn't. There's a layer of oil that just sits on top and it doesn't help to shake the bottle. This one makes my face feel even more greasy and I have to wash my face after using it. I thought it says oil free?? I'm just going to stick with the green capped one from now on.

It does seem remove my waterproof makeup but leaves a weird oily feeling and my face doesn't feel clean even after following up with my normal cleanser. It hasn't broken me out but it seems to dry out under my eyes, worsening my fine lines and leaving it reddened. Will be looking for something to replace this and likely won't purchase again.
Great Makeup remover! Poor Cleanser!
Neriah M. from Virginia
This is a great makeup remover! Once you press it on your makeup for about 2 seconds there's no need for harsh rubbing. Makeup is completely off; which for me is so refreshing. The first time I tried to use this product as a cleanser I didn't shake it, so it was a very strange consistency. I shook it the next time and it was better, but still weird. On the bottle it says that it contains no oil, but once done cleansing your face it feels so oily. I even tried to wash it off, but it created oil bubbles on my face that's wouldn't come off (sounds weird, but it happened). Overall, my recommendation, if you buy this, is to use this as a makeup remover only.

Works great on all waterproof products even that pesky lash glue residue. I have sensitive skin & it does not irritate it. Get this one over the regular one!
Daniela from Mckinney Texas
Idk what was in my bottle but it smells so bad when I put it on . It takes off my waterproof hood but I can't stand the smell it's like a mouldy smell. The other ones I've had smell like nothing but idk why my bottle did
Great For Waterproof Mascara
Heather from Annapolis, MD
I've seen a good amount of reviews about how people don't like how it's so oily on their face. This is genuinely a great product, but it's job is to remove waterproof makeup. If you're not wearing it on your face, don't use it there. Also micellar waters are meant to be a first cleanse to remove makeup, not the end all be all. Aside from that, I love using this to remove my eye makeup and if I'm wearing any liquid lipstick. It's so gentle and does a great job at loosening the product and getting off 98% of my eye makeup. I then go in with my second cleanse and I'm all good to go and wonderfully clean after that. This is a phenomenal product. Just know the different reasons to use it.
OIL IN A BOTTLE
Danielle from Garland
I bought this because I always use the pink one and heard good reviews about the blue one. The mintue I put in on my face is feels like I'm putting baby oil all over my face and it feels gross. I have dry/normal skin and this just made it feel so gross like I needed to wash my face again.
It's a little oily…
JuicyLJ from Madison, WI
But so are so many other micelles waters, just wash your face after (that's what I do).
waterproofwhat? from San Francisco, CA
Bought it after so many positive reviews but it does not remove waterproof mascara that easily. I have to rub and tug on it. Not sure if you need to have a lot of patience in order to have this work on you.
The good thing about this is that it does not dry out your eyes and it does not leave oil residues. However, it definitely does not remove or lift waterproof mascaras with one swipe. For those who are writing reviews that it removes waterproof mascaras, they are probably using regular mascaras, smh.
Super Oily and not worth the money!!
Alo from …
I bought this thinking that it would be better than the regular blue bottle but instead it was just super oily. There's this thick layer of like oil just sitting at the top. I had to shake it a bunch in order for it to mix properly and when I put it on my face it felt like I was putting straight oil on my face. I'll stick to the regular one from now on.
Great at taking off waterproof mascara and liquid lipstick!
J. Yang from Wilmington, NC
I only use this product to take off my waterproof mascara and liquid lipstick. The waterproof mascara can be stubborn to get off, so this is a wonderful first step before I go in with an oil cleanser/balm to get the rest off.
Took ALL My makeup off!
Brandis from Northeast AR
It literally took all my makeup off! I've been wanting to try this for a few years now and I'm so glad I did. 10/10 Highly recommend!
had a weird separation thing going on

I loved the other two versions of this so I thought I'd try out the waterproof one. I don't know if maybe it just got messed up in shipping, but it looks like oil and water if I don't shake it up EXTREMELY well. It leaves an oily residue on my face and it hardly removes even regular mascara. Definitely sticking to the other two.
Doesn't remove my waterproof mascara
Labra from Bloomfield, NJ
This hardly removes any makeup. I don't even think it removes my Laroche Posay sunscreen properly. Too bad I bought a jumbo size and now have to go through it. I can literally see my waterproof mascara under my eyes and on my eyelashes. So, I wouldn't repurchase.
new formula or cheap producers
dr from Texas
something happened here, i've been using this for YEARS. suddenly- my last two bottles do not work the way they're supposed to. it takes about 6 cotton pads of this stuff to get my mascara off, same stuff i've been using for years. ive noticed it doesn't have the same
texture either, it's like straight water. either they changed the formula and ratios r off or they're skimping out on something. time to shop around.

I was a bit skeptical of trying this product out since I've had bad experiences with other micellar products in the past but I have to say that I'm impressed. It removed all of my makeup and waterproof eyeliner without leaving any oily residue like my regular makeup remover does. It left my skin soft and moisturized as well. Will definitely be buying again.
Kaylie from Dallas, Texas
I've been using the product for a few weeks now and love it. I typically wear quite a bit of makeup (foundation/powder, blush/bronzer, eyeliner/mascara, and brow pomade) and it removes everything completely. It is pretty oily feeling so I'll always just shower after using or go over it with a wet wash cloth.
Only for my waterproof eye makeup
Lynette from Guam
I have the biggest bottle of this, and for sure it will last me a long time. I only use this to remove my eye make up, waterproof mascara and eyeliner. Like most claim, its a little greasy, but it doesn't bother me and you only need a little on a cotton pad, or makeup eraser. I would recommend putting a little on cotton pad, then placing on eye, let it sit for a little, the gently swipe away makeup up. It is the eye area, so do not rub harshly
Works very well
Jess from Manteca CA
Does it's job, removes all waterproof makeup easily but it leave my eyelids a bit irritated so I try to not use it everyday. Still amazing though
laurenb200 from Houston, Tx
I usually gravitate towards cleansing balms and cleansing oils but I decided to pick this up on a whim and I'm realizing what I was missing out on. I use this on a makeup eraser and just gently rub it around my entire face and it gets absolutely EVERYTHING off. I wear a LOT of makeup and it doesn't struggle to get anything off. I am amazed and will continue to buy this for probably ever.
? from Brooklyn New York
I love how it doesn't keep my face dry when removing makeup , it makes my face so soft. It removes mascara and eyeliner perfectly by just placing a pad on my eye.
don't buy it
meh from Cleveland, TN
it doesn't remove mascara at all normal or water proof
my go to!!

Does it's job
Mima from Downey ca
I pair this with the Ulta bottom pads that have the exfoliant side. This removes my waterproof makeup and regular makeup. Does much better than my neurogena wipes
madi from Alabama
I absolutely love this product! It gets all of my makeup off and cleanses at the same time.
Gross from USA
I normally use the pink bottle regular micellar water but decided to try the blue because it is advertised to remove waterproof makeup and thought it might do a better job. However, the bottle on this is advertised as "no oil" but what I didn't notice when I purchased it is that there is about a 3 inch layer of oil sitting on top of the water. I used it and it worked well to remove my makeup but my entire face was covered in thick oil. It was gross and I had to rinse it off, so I basically wasted my money. I will stick with garniers pink bottle.
