An Important Part of My Hair Reset
Hair Type Very Curly Hair
This shampoo is one of the best I've ever used for hair clarifying. It's very effective at breaking down product and protein buildup and hard water minerals deep within the cuticle layer. Everything else used afterward, like leave-in deep conditioners and styling products, work wonderfully now! My hair is not straw. Nothing about my hair looks, dull, frizzy or dry. My thick, type 3A/3B, porous, non-oily, post menopausal hair is actually softer and more flexible, has less frizz and more natural shine, and has a stronger curl pattern. I use Paul Mitchell's Shampoo Two (the regular clarifying shampoo) for every single wash and on the alternate wash, I use both Two and Three for a second shampoo. I follow up by using Curlsmith's Curl Conditioning Oil-in-Cream leave-in and letting the curls pop! Day 2 and 3 hair is retouched with water and a tiny, diluted amount of curl cream. My guess for why my hair behaves beautifully is because this shampoo regimen minimizes stubborn hair product and protein build-up; the build-up which I believe gets stuck in the cuticle layer, creates frizz, and interferes with conditioners and styling products.

They have ruined this shampoo!
This has been my go-to for years. It was how I kept my hair decent when I swam competitively. Not it is utter junk. I repeated about 5 times and it never lathered. My hair is tangled and full of chlorine today. This brand is dead to me.

Paul Mitchell Shampoo 3 is the best for curly hair low porosity hair. My hair was easily to get build up so fast from curly hair products. I am looking higher of pH level, and this shampoo is perfect, I use this once a week. Then moisture/protein balance mask.
