Even though the products may not have gluten in the formulation we are not able to claim "Gluten-Free" as it can come in contact with other products or ingredients such as gluten in manufacturing. Be aware aware if you are sensitive to gluten you could have a reaction. Does this product contain sulfates

- Official Answer By Nioxin - Brand EngageYes, there are sulfates in the shampoo. Sulfates have recently gotten a bad rap as being bad for you and your hair. What you need to know is that sulfates are the ingredient that cleanses the hair. One would need to consume a large quantity of them to have negative results. We use only the highest-grade sulfates – which provide cleansing necessary without pulling color or damaging the hair. Optimal levels are contained in our products which leave the hair clean without over drying. We offer a very nourishing formula overall, which is gentle on the skin and hair. The SLS (sulfates) used are in the international regulatory permitted range, they have been tested extensively for decades to ensure customer health and safety. Most of what we hear is a myths that come from a "sulfate free" marketing campaign or company. Harsh sulfates will most likely always pull color from the hair and cause dryness. Gentle sulfates with the proper formulation of other ingredients will keep hair color in longer than most sulfate free shampoos. Sulfate free shampoos most often do not cleanse the hair thoroughly enough to rid it of dirt, oils, product and environmental debris. This causes more dirt to attach to the hair and the formation of free radicals. Free radicals cause the fading of hair color. To protect color treated hair we have the Pro-Color Shield technology that prolongs hair color. The relationship between sulfates and hair color is not straight forward. The appearance of a sulfate in a shampoo does not automatically determine the "safeness" of the product. All of our products are tested extensively to ensure their safety for consumer use. Makes my hair gummy
I air dry my hair. Even after using clarifying shampoo, this made my hair gummy. I can't use it as directed, and it's pricey. I don't recommend this product.
melted my hair
my hair had been falling quit a bit so I ordered the shampoo and conditioner. the time using it I noticed a lot of hair coming out still. I kept using it every 3 days. I noticed what I thought was little new growth hairs. turned out these were not from new growth at all. in the shower I put the hair that would come out on the wall. upon looking at the hairs I noticed they didn't have a bulb at the end like other hair that would normally fall out. this tells me it's not falling out from the scalp. those tiny hairs i thought were new growth were just where the hair had broken/melted off. I'm stopping this. maybe I can use it to unclog my drain.
