Bought this tool in store with the help of a sales associate. Told her I needed something that was dual voltage for my upcoming trip and she recommended this one. does not get hot
I was excited to try this profuct at a cheaper price point but you get what you pay for. This product does NOT get hot. When it was at "400 degrees" I could grab the barrel with my hand. It gets warm at best. The actual brush itself is decent and sleek design. I would only recommend if you have extremely fine/thin/straight hair. Other than that, you wont get much use out of this.

As others have said, the fan is annoying. That being said, when it was time to replace my $200 GHD Rise brush I opted for this and I am genuinely happier with this product. I have fine wavy hair so being able to adjust the temp down to 285 was huge for me (the GHD is set at 365). I also appreciate that the brush on the conair is bigger which results in faster styling. While I wish it was quiter, ultimately the health of my hair was more important to me than silence.

The tool works for smoothing out frizz, especially after a blowdry. It can be used to put in curls and is easy to use if you read the manual first. The only reason I'm not giving it a 5 is because I have very long hair and it gets stuck very easily.
