Begin with dry hair. Comb and part your hair as you normally wear it. Put on gloves.
- Open one activator packet and pour it into the bowl.
- Mix the color and activator with the brush until fully blended.
- Apply to your roots on your t-zone (hairline & part).
- Use the cleansing wipe to remove any color from your skin.
- Set a timer for 10 minutes.
- Wearing gloves, rinse hair until the water runs clear.
- Shampoo then condition with the Color Therapy Hair Mask included in your kit.
- Let the mask sit for 5 minutes then rinse again.

I haven't used this before so I didn't have anything to base it on. Now that my hair is grayer it needs more touch up to roots. This takes 10 minutes and is fantastic! The light brown is the perfect shade and my hair looks freshly colored again. I am amazed! I will continue to use this between coloring to prolong my hair color.

I've used Madison Reed since they've originally started advertising on the radio. I find their brand very easy on my hair, very easy to apply. It doesn't destroy or strip my hair. It's gentle compared to other brands. And the root touchup kit was so easy and simple to apply. There's two applications in the box. And as far as gray coverage, I'm about 25% grey. I've never had a problem with it not covering my grey. I think it does a fantastic job. It is my go to. Good quality color.

I am going back to what I used to use. Thought I would try because non toxic. The brush very hard to get product to where it needed to be. Much darker than as described. Just doing a root touch up totally messed up my hair and look. Applied very unevenly as well with the thick mixture.
