about-face THE PERFORMER Skin-Focused Foundation

When I first opened it I was a little concerned about the doe foot applicator. I don't love the idea of touching my face or my beauty blender with it & then putting it back into the bottle. It just seems kind of unsanitary. But I gave it a shot anyway and as I was blending it out, omg, I was amazed. It. Is. So. Pretty. It matched my skin tone perfectly. It looks natural, but better. I swear this is what every foundation promises, and then fails to deliver. I buy a LOT of makeup. There are at least 15 bottles of different foundations in my current arsenal. Sometimes I use them alone, sometimes I mix them together. I currently have Dior, Estee Lauder, Charlotte Tilbury, Mac, Urban Decay, Lorac, 2 kinds of MUFE, Kim Chi, Polite Society, Tarte, and a handful of no-name brands I've picked up here and there. I'm always on the lookout for that perfect foundation. (PS came really close, but the neutral shades pull warm on me & Kim Chi is pretty cool too) This foundation though honestly blows all of them out of the water, and for a fraction of the price. I ordered this because I had bought some blush from this brand when it was on sale at Ulta and I was so impressed with it. It was just the perfect peachy color and blended out so nicely. (I also ordered the setting powder and omg, get that ish too.) This brand seems bound for greatness. I'm about to go see what else I can try because so far they're 3 for 3!

This foundation is good could be better even though I do love it! I have a hard time finding COOL undertoned concealers/foundations that match my skin. Not too dark or light. This actually blends into skin and is a true match for me!! One thing I do have to say is, I usually wear the matte grip primer from elf but these two dont go well together. It starts to separate and look almost cakey. So make sure that your skin/makeup products go with the ingredients of this foundation! Also if you are having trouble with your makeup looking more textured, exfoliating will definitely help make your skin look more smooth. I use the Deep Dive Exfoliating Mask from Bubble. I hadn't exfoliated my face in a while so when i first bought this, I did see my skin more textured. Lastly, I dont think this foundation can be very long lasting but again its also the skin prep you use along with sprays/powders that matter as well. If youre looking for a skin tint, this foundation could be a good one because it can be light coverage or medium coverage!

this is my go to foundation right now! its a pretty light slightly buildable coverage and wears super nicely! i wear it to work for like 9 hours and it doesnt budge and i get compliments on my makeup all the time when i wear this!! (i have normal to oily skin if thats helpful)

I really love this foundation! I like that its buildable. This with the right primer is crazy. I agree that the doe foot applicator does kinda suck. I wanted to try something new to match my summer skin and it matched perfectly. I do wish there were half shades. Specifically something in between MD3 and Dark1. I think the jump from the darkest MD to the darkest D is a bit too big of a jump.
