I hate it. No longer one step. Original is much better.

The original Revlon one step styler was perfect in every way except that it gets VERY hot. I was so excited to try the "upgraded" version that had more heat settings. Unfortunately, the additional heat settings aren't the only major change. I don't care about the detachable brush head one way or a...nother. But the brush head is smaller and doesn't give as much volume. My biggest complaint, however, is that the barrel is a different material. The old one is very smooth plastic and my hair glides through it easily. The new one has (I believe) a ceramic barrel - which should be an improvement, but it tugs and pulls at my hair so I can't maneuver it as smoothly and easily. Between the smaller barrel and different material, it takes me much longer to dry my hair, and it tends to come out frizzy. I end up having to use a flat iron after drying it. It also doesn't do anything to revive second day hair like the original. I seriously regret keeping it past the return date. I've gone back to the old one, which gives me a perfect blowout in 10 minutes with NO flat iron needed. Yes, it does get hot, but I use a good heat protectant and haven't any issues with damage. I feel like the new one did more damage with the way it yanks and snags my hair. It's now the backup I keep in my work bag. Don't waste your money. Buy the original.
