Apply gel pencil liner in short, quick strokes along the lash line starting at the inner corner and working your way outward.
To sharpen, pop out the built-in sharpener from the bottom and twist it over the pencil to reshape the tip. Only twist up what you need - the pencil doesn't retract.

Will not budge even on the oiliest eyelids of teariest eyes
I had given up on eyeliners because my sensitive eyes tear/run/cry, and my eyelids and my tears are oily. Not even UD 24/7 or Stila or Bobbi Brown gel -- none of the most stubborn eyeliners will stay on my eyes. I had determined that not even NASA could invent an eyeliner that could stay on my lids, and if they did, the product would probably not be safe for human use. Ulta had sent this full size PUR pencil in black as a Diamond member GWP, and I was going to give it away, but I decided to give it a try and I have been impressed with how it does not budge once it is set. And it sets fast. I've been using it for several months. Today I took a shower with full makeup on my face after a workout mid-day, and the eyeliner was the only thing that stayed on my face. I was washinging and conditioning my hair and everything, so it was a long shower too! I was thoroughly impressed, impressed enough to get on here and write a review, as well as placing an order for the brown shade. It is a retractable pencil, so you twist up to get more product. If you want to have a sharper point, I cover the pencil head point with tissue and twist the tissue around the point, slightly tightening my grip over the end so to "shape" the point. Easy and works perfectly.

I tried the brown PÜR Cosmetics eyeliner and was impressed by how pigmented it is — the color really pops and glides on super smoothly without tugging. It gives a clean, precise line with minimal effort. However, once it sets, it *does not* budge. The staying power is great if you're going for a defined look, but if you were hoping to smudge it out for a softer effect, this might not be the one. It sets fast and stays locked in all day.

This is a great eyeliner that last all day and doesn't smudge. Saw another review complaining about how they couldn't sharpen the pencil. That's because this is an automatic liner lol.
