Trust me when it comes to my hair I am super picky. I am not wealthy by any means but I do get my hair colored by professionals and use top of the line hair products (It's a 10 Olaplex Bumble & Bumble Living Proof Kenra - just to name a few). Since I get bleach in my hair I know to keep it healthy I... need to take care of it. Well about a year ago my hair stopped doing well despite anything I was doing. Coloring less longer between washes using styling tools less than once a week . . . and the list goes on. Nothing was helping. My hair was dry frizzy non-stop split ends and countless number of hairs were loss. Recently I had noticed that my sister in law's hair was looking amazing and I asked her what she was doing and that's when she told me about Hair Story. It took me a good three weeks before I finally committed to buying it and I am so happy I did. The whole no suds (like with shampoo) or super silky feeling (like with conditioner) was a weird change and I was actually really worried the first time that I used it that my hair was going to be a use grease ball but it wasn't. My sister in law reiterated to me (and what the directions say to do and what other people say to do) that you need to work it in really well and rinse it really well. My hair drys so much quicker (so less time spent blowing drying it - which I can actually do now) and responds so much better to any styling tool. My first complaint is that the stuff literally comes in a bag. When you are in a shower and trying to squeeze it out with wet hands not the easiest. Really wish they would sell it in a bottle and then offer the refills in a bag. It also wasn't until after I purchased the bag and noticed my sister in law had a bottle that I realized they sell empty bottles on the website but it definitely isn't user friendly to find. Highly recommend changing that. Also I do find that my hair does it oily and doesn't feel as fresh by day two (which was typical when I used shampoo and conditioner) and unless I go back to using dry shampoo more I will be using this stuff more and a little doesn't go a long way. Despite recently cutting 3 inches off my hair and now having shoulder length hair I still have to use a good amount of product and I don't feel like it's going to be cheaper than what I was doing. I would keep shampoo and conditioner bottles for at least three months. I am really hoping I am wrong and that the bag lasts longer than I think it's going to but if it doesn't I won't be saving what they saying you can save at least not for me. Lastly I have personally noticed little breakout around my neck hair life and up by my ears. I have never had this happen before and my sister in law said she had the same thing happen when she started this stuff. I attribute it to the oily factor of the product so I have just been having to use my face wash along those areas which isn't the end of the world but just annoying to have to be dealing with breakouts in those areas. Overall super happy with what this product is doing for my hair. I recently got it colored and it has already responded must better post appointment than I have had in about a year. I really can't imagine going back to shampoo and conditioner at least not anytime in the near future. Super optimistic that it will keep helping my hair and that my hair keeps responding positively.
