It's not explicitly moisturizing but I felt like it did add some hydration back to my hair. I probably would use a different one though specifically for moisturizing. It has a good lather to it and I didn't need a bunch to shampoo my hair. Good product for the value.

It does a great job of cleaning my hair and I don't feel like I have to use too much to get the job done. If I were to purchase in the future, I'd probably pick a different type besides smoothing, but I've enjoyed using it even though that's not exactly what I need with having a pixie cut.
