feels like my hair is frizzier than before :/
my hair stylist recommended matrix food for soft shampoo a few yrs ago and it absolutely was a game changer for my hair! i have thick, frizzy, wavy hair and food for soft calmed all of that down while adding shine. i saw this line and decided to try... i was unfortunately displeased with the end result. ive been using it about a month and my hair feels frizzier than before. i just repurchased matrix food for soft (the green bottle). i shouldnt have strayed!

Changed the formula
I have been using the shampoo for at least 10 years. The old formula was a pearly white and had a fresh scent to it. The conditioner was thick and made my hair very silky. I have course frizzy hair so this is important to me. I ordered some more of the shampoo and conditioner and both the shampoo and conditioner are now an orangey color and it smells like my grandma's VO5 shampoo. The conditioner is thin and when it washes out, my hair is tangly. I don't know why companies insist on changing the formulas of things that are really good. The best part is it doesn't even say new formula on the bottle. They just trick you into buying it. This loyal customer is now looking elsewhere for new shampoo and conditioner.
They changed the formula
As someone who's been buying this duo for years, I'm really disappointed by the reformulation. It doesn't smell the same, it feels different, and my hair doesn't look or feel as good as it used to. The packaging may be the same, but the product inside definitely isn't. Please bring back the original version.
Bring back the OG formula
I was disappointed and completely surprised when I restocked my favorite shampoo/conditioner and went to use it and it was completely different. Smell, color, texture, everything. Except the packaging. I have been using this combo for over a decade. Please bring back the OG formula. I do not like the new formula at all.
