Is this paraben and sulfate free?

- Official Answer By Redken - BEHi there! We appreciate your interest in our Max Hold Hairspray. This product does not claim to be paraben free and we only use sulfates in our rinse-off products. This is a hairspray, therefore it does not contain sulfates. Sulfates are ingredients that create the foaming effect of shampoos and shower gels for example. I love this hairspray, but TSA won't allow a four-ounce hairspray on airplanes. It has to be three-ounces. Is Redken going to make a three-ounce size?

Does hold without giving totally stiff feeling however the scent is awful. Lingers and can still smell on hair .

Hold at a distance from hair. It doesn't take much for a good hold and if you spray too close it actually blows your hair. Good product.
