I have been using it for many years. Occasionally I try something new - just to confirm that this serum is the best on the market. Nothing makes my skin glow in the morning like this trusty serum. I can also see how it effects my skin when I forget to use it for a couple of weeks. I cannot use it everyday, but 2 times per week is perfect. In about 15 years, I have it encountered any serum better than this one.

My favorite for skin cell turnover, acne scars, and melasma.
I LOVE THIS PRODUCT! When my last bottle ran out, I went a month without using it to try a similar and cheaper product that only contained 7% glycolic acid. I noticed that the less expensive product was not promoting skin cell turnover the way this does, so I ordered another bottle of this stuff. I have rosacea, eczema, and sensitive skin that is prone to hives, but thankfully this product does not bother or trigger anything for me. I started getting hyperpigmentation and melasma in my 30s despite my best efforts to protect my face. These skin issues run in my family, and my aesthetician said melasma remains dormant until something triggers it, like my hormones that were fluctuating as I got older. I get chemical peels once or twice a year, but they're expensive, and so are professional hyperpigmentation lightening products. I wanted something to help maintain my skin between treatments without breaking the bank, and Alpha Skin Care Intensive Renewal Serum 14% Glycolic AHA did not disappoint. You do need to use this stuff daily before bed to see results. If you're not comfortable with products that make your skin tingle and slough off dead skin through peeling, this might not be for you. Also, its consistency is more of a liquid than a serum, so be careful when you first use it because the bottle squirts. I suggest using a good moisturizer and a vitamin C serum in combination with this for optimal results. When I get maskne this stuff is overnight magic for keeping it at bay. It even tames the keratosis pilaris on my arms, so I bought the lotion version Alpha Skin Care sells, though it's slightly lower at 12%. I don't know what I would do without this product!
