- Official Answer By Virtue - Brand EngageHi, Virtue Recovery Shampoo uses sulfate-free lathering agents and can be emulsified into a thick lather. It's also highly concentrated. Use half as much as you would normally use, lather into a paste, add a few drops of water at a time as you build the foam. It deeply cleanses and rinses clean when you do this. If you don't you'll simply waste some of it's potential and have to work harder to fully rinse it out.Was this answer helpful to you

It's ok, but I really like the Virtue smoothing conditioner for coarse and textured hair much better. I notice a great difference in smoothing with that product and don't notice much great results with this conditioner.
