Most Helpful Positive Review My scalp doesn't like this shampoo I absolutely LOVED this shampoo. It made my hair feel very soft and it felt full, but after using it for 3 months I noticed my hair feeling greasy after a day. I also started to experience my scalp feeling extremely itchy and also started getting bumps on my scalp (pimples). I'm not ready to try a different shampoo, so I will try to add in head and shoulders to my routine and hopefully that eliminates these added issues. I would still highly recommend this product.
Most Helpful Critical Review Soft Bouncy Hair, Oily Scalp I purchased the shampoo conditioner duo. I have long hair that reaches my bottom. It is thick but fine. It is also quite dry from using cheap product and constant teasing. I loved this product the first few weeks of use. It left my hair so soft and bouncy. My hair looked amazing and required little styling. However, after a about three weeks of use, I noticed that it was leaving my scalp very oily. My hair still looks great but the oily scalp is not ideal. It's ready for a new wash by day two with all this oil. Before, I could go three to four days without oil buildup on my scalp. I think this is a great product for someone who had SUPER dry hair. But it is not working for me and I will try this brands other moisturizing shampoo and conditioner duo.

I was worried about this because I saw where others wrote it was too waxy, but I love it. It make my thin fine hair feel soft and hydrated. I'm glad I bout it.
My favorite shampoo! 5
Jjsbaby from Morristown, Tn
This is the shampoo my beautician uses on my color treated, highlighted, dry hair. I started using it at home also! It makes my hair feel and look great with some much needed moisture. Its a bit pricey, but worth it!
Contains DMDM Hydantoin - irritated my scalp after first use 1
Catie from Connecticut
I bought this to try because I've heard great things about Joico... only to have the back of my head burning after the first use! Read ingredient list & saw DMDM Hydantoin, which is part of a current lawsuit against Tresemme. Not okay!
My absolute favorite!! 5

Both shampoo & conditioner are amazing & a little goes along ways. Love it!!
I have reviewed this before and it's a great product! 5

Especially good for fine, thin hair.
ABSOLUTE TRASH!!! CANDLE WAX!!! 1
Mary B. from Carlisle PA
My god…. One of the worst shampoo and conditioner sets I have ever used or used on anyone in my entire life. Holy holy holy. After only about 2 uses, my hair would tangle due to the amount of WAX it left behind. It would literally transfer onto my hands and if I was wearing black you could see where my hair was sitting on my shoulders all day (I have super long hair). Not to mention the old 1950's tires attempt at a men's cologne scent it has to it. Omg. It is a weak smell… so nauseating. Hard to explain. This is absolute GARBAGE. I wish I could give it 0 stars.
Just awful 3
Erika from Arizona
This shampoo smelled nice but thats the only good thing about it. It doesn't lather super well which is not always indicative of something bad but I didn't feel like it was cleansing at all. My hair felt very strange after using this and paired with the conditioner was even worse. Flat hair, frizzy, weird texture. There was nothing hydrating about it. I had to stop using Redken because they recently changed their formula and it was making my hair fall out. After using this I noticed hairs on my bed which never happen anymore. So needless to say it looks like Joico went the same route and skimped and used cheaper ingredients in their product without disclosing it. Onto another brand I guess.
I will never buy this shampoo and conditioner again 1

This was my first time buying this shampoo and conditioner And at the first use my hair started to fall down
I would buy this product again 5

I have natural and dry curly hair. The shampoo works great for moisturizing, but if you use too much especially near the roots, it will weigh it down a tad bit. I do love the shampoo though. I've been using it for over 6 months and usually I would have swapped shampoo brands by now.
Love it! Makes my hair feel amazing 5

The stylist at our Ulta strongly recommended this for my daughters dry, wavy hair. She said it would help tremendously. One use and her hair is dryer than before with a weird residue feeling and her hair looks greasy on top. Not worth the money or the stylist.
Cannot say enough good things 5

I love this shampoo. I wash my hair every 3-4 days and it stays shiny even between wash days. It's super lightweight and I really like the scent. I agree that sometimes it weighs my hair down, but honestly not enough to be a deal breaker.
Wouldn't repurchase 3

I have medium, straight Asian hair. I've been trying this shampoo for a few weeks now and I definitely wouldn't buy this again. It does make my hair feel soft, hydrated, and shiny, but it weighs down my hair sooo much. I can typically go 4+ days without washing my hair before it starts to feel greasy, but since using this shampoo + conditioner, my hair has started getting greasy and flat after 2 days of not washing. The shampoo doesn't lather very well so more product is needed, at least for me. I definitely prefer the moisture recovery line over this.
Perfect weight shampoo for thin curly hair. 5
Curly Cindy from Belleville PA
This shampoo is great for thin hair. It's lightweight conditioning is perfect for my curly hair. Many shampoos weigh it down and leaves the curls looking flat, but not this one. Really love this shampoo and conditioner!
So far I like it! 5

I've only been using this shampoo & conditioner for a few days but so far I like it. We have well water and my hair had gotten really dry & frizzy lately. After only a few days I feel a difference in my hair. It isn't as dry as it was.
I will not buy again 1
So sad from Chattanooga tn
I have always used joico products with no problems. Tried this one and got hives for three days. Thought maybe it was a fluke so tried again. This time the hives are horrible. My scalp and forehead also burned this time. I still love joico just can't use this one anymore.
Not pleased at all 1
Carl from Duck Hill, MS
This product didn't work on my dry hair as expected. It left a waxy coating behind that made my hair heavy to lay flat, not fixing the cause of the frizziness. In the end? The tip of my hair became more brittle. I'm not saying this product made my bad hair worse, but I AM saying that it did not help.
I used to be able to wash my hair once a week, after this product, I have to wash every 2-3 days. It caused oil production at my roots to increase, so by day 3/4, my hair is gummy, crunchy, and smells bad.
My largest complaint is what it has done to my scalp. My head has never been so dry and itchy. I'm so sad I figured out the cause of it after it's done so much damage.
The conditioner in this line actually seems to be helping when not used in conjunction with the shampoo. 10/10 the worse shampoo I've ever used.
This was a very good product 5

I love all the products. However I try and support retail stores, but I will never go back into EB Ulta store. I spent over $250and had to be for a sample. I never get a sample or a gift, they always say they are out. But when the open the cabinet there are thousands of samples. Terrible service. I get more from other retail stores

Saved my hair! 5
CMI from Miami, Florida
I feel like I have tried every product on the market. After almost 40 years of highlighting my fine hair, it had become so damaged and straggly looking. I just accepted my dry, brittle broken hair as part of the aging process. After a month of consistent use, my hair looks shiny and full in a way it hasn't in at least 10 years. I love this stuff! I don't notice a bad smell as others have complained. It's true that it isn't super sudsy, but that is probably why it pampering to delicate hair instead of stripping. I definitely recommend this shampoo and conditioner.
Love, except 4
Julie from California
I really love this shampoo for my fine, dry hair except......the smell. Bad men's cologne is what comes to mind. It's tolerable once I use a better smelling conditioner. And although the scent is not good, it's not as strong and overwhelming as the Hydrasplash conditioner. I won't use that for many reasons, but the nauseating scent is one of them.
