 Haitian Black Castor Oil Scalp Care Shampoo

The shampoo definitely clean my scalp. However, it a a lot shampoo for my very thick hair.

I wanted to try a new shampoo and since I really like the oils from this brand, I decided to give it a try. Within 15 seconds of putting this on my hair, I could tell this was not going to work. The smell is strong and unpleasant, and it made my normally soft 4C locs feel extremely dry and rigid. It reminded me of Head n' Shoulders 2-in-1. Just AWFUL. I prefer a more moisturizing or strengthening shampoo. I went right back to my trusty Creme of Nature shampoo and my hair felt IMMEDIATELY better.

I started using this shampoo before I decided to add PRP shots for my thinning hair/excessive shedding. This really helped my hair be healthy, grow, and it's a clean product too (I am being more mindful of what I put on my hair). My hairdresser noticed a change on my next trim. The only downside for me is that I go thru this more quickly because the formula is a little runny and the bottle isn't that big, so I have to use more product even on my medium length/thin hair. This is not going to lather up like most shampoos do but it does the job! Use a scalp massage brush when washing and it makes a BIG difference (I really like the Rizos Curls pink one). All in all, this is a great product that gives results with consistent use. Using scalp massager when shampooing will help stimulate growth as well. Sidenote - I did also add Nutrafol for my hairgrowth journey and all together with this it's really helping! I have used everything under the sun, but using the shampoo alone at first, I DEF had growth and healthier hair so give this a try!

I was using the Miele line for some bit and thought it was going well until I started to notice my fall out was getting very progressive. I was loosing so much hair everyday day. I was having to clean out my brush after every use and clear the drain after every wash. I thought maybe it could be an underlying health condition but wanted to try my best to take care of the situation. I went to ulta on a hunt for clean hair care and came across this brand. I first got the shampoo and deep conditioner and now use the regular conditioner and the cowash in-between cleanses. I've noticed much less hair loss using this line of products. Even helped me regrow a little bald spot in my bang areas. For reference I am a young Latina with very frizzy dry wavy hair. Love how little ingredients these products have and seem to be clean ingredients as well. My new staple. I will definitely recommend.

This shampoo does not lather at all, it takes so much product to cover my shoulder length hair. Its hard to get the shampoo throughout my hair because of the consistency it has.
