I am 1W2 Sand color and it matches really well. I'm Hispanic but I have fair skin with both pink and yellow undertones. This color matches me perfectly. I used to wear the Estée Lauder Double Wear because it was non transferable. My gripe with that foundation was it was drying for my aging, dry, large pore face. I had to mix it with Lancôme foundation to get the perfect combo of hydration. I had used the other Estée Lauder hydration foundation and that was a bust. It slid off my face. It was too hydrating and transferred everywhere. So when I saw futurist, I decided to give it a try. It goes on so smoothly (I use brush) on my skin and I don't have to use a lot. Start with a little, because it gives great coverage, especially when it sets. I didn't realize that I put too much foundation the first time. You don't know until it dries and you realize your face looks cakey. So the next time I put a little amount and rubbed it all over my face, set it and it was perfect. In the beginning of application, I figured since it feels so hydrating that maybe I don't need moisturizer before and I need to set it with a lot of powder. I was wrong. Once that foundation sets, which can take a little long, it looks a little dry if you didn't moisturize or set your face with too much powder. It's kind of a trial and error but it's worth it. You just have to know your skin. It lasted a long time. Even with a mask on in the hot sun. Toward the very end of the night, it started to separate but I noticed that when I didn't moisturize that day and set it with too much powder. So that could be the reason. All in all, I think it's a great foundation and it's worth giving a try. FYI it does have a strong SPF smell which I love bc it smells like you're at the beach. For those who don't like the SPF smell, then you won't like this foundation.
Most Helpful Critical Review Ok product
I give this product a 3 star because I didn't really like the flaky look it gives. The color I received was the 2C3 Fresco which was on point with my skin tone which I did like a lot. All because I'm in between colors when it comes to my skin tone & it's very hard to find something close, so saying this was on point was great! The foundation itself went on smoothly it was indeed very light so don't expect it to come out slowly I do indeed like the little pump it has but wish it was a little thicker in consistency. (I wasn't expecting it to pore out, when I seen the pump type applicator so of course I gave it a quick few pumps and needless to say I had at least 2 applications now on my foundation brush.) don't be me lol pump slowly! As far as everything else it was a good foundation just needs a few adjustments. I can also say I do have truly sensitive skin and have found NO issues with breakouts using this product the past 4 days now! I have did some tweaking of my own and added a little of my primer with this particular foundation when applying it and have gotten the flaky look to disappear)(not saying this will work for everyone & my primer may be different that yours so just that that into consideration) Also all skin types are indeed different so just because it leaves me looking flaky doesn't mean it will you. But I hope this gives you a little insight on this particular product. As I said over all it turned out to be ok there was more positive than negative and if they fix the texture and the flaky on face look I'll give it another shot! But all in all I believe it's a innovative product.

this is my second purchase of the Futurist makeup and I'm enjoying better than before. I'm a M.A.C.NC42. I went with 5w1 bronze last time and 4w1 this time and its a better match.
Lightest Shade Is Way Too Deep
CC from Houston
I have no issue with the formula. It's thin, hydrating and feels good on the skin. The lightest shade 1N0 Porcelain is way too dark for fair skin. I had to mix it with so much white mixer that there's no way it didn't alter the formula. If you're super fair and want a foundation that matches your skin, then this isn't for you. It would be great if there was a shade about 3-4 shades lighter than Porcelain. For reference, I wear EL Double Wear in Alabaster, MUFE in Y205, TF Born This Way in Cloud. Maybelline Fit Me & Superstay foundations in 102 Fair Porcelain with a few drops of lightener mixed in.

A nice product, but do not like the oil scent/odor. It seems to have several oils & extracts in the ingredients & it smells a bit like sunflower oil. Not used to the oil odor from other Estee Lauder foundations.
Great for 40 year old skin!

I'm in love with this foundation. I've tried every brand and they all emphasize my large pores. This foundation did not. It left a beautiful finish
Alygee from Myrtle beach
This has no coverage. Very disappointed. I looked the exact same as before I put it on
Light feeling, full coverage!!
KJ from PA
If you're looking for a full coverage makeup that's light wear, this is for you!! It reminds me of a CC cream but on steroids! 1 pump if this stuff gives Me full coverage. It does leave a dewy finish but I just top it off with translucent powder and get a perfect matte finish. I will definitely keep buying this instead of the double wear foundation (which I love but is just too heavy on my face).
Eva from Brownsville
Stays put and has great coverage, it's hydrating and looks great on skin. I used it on a day I had to work in the heat and sun and it stayed put until the end of the day. Really loved it!
Great for dry skin
Liz from Texas
It adds moisture to my face, decent coverage. Very natural look.
Beautiful on skin

Foundation is very dewy, and feels very light on the skin. I have combination skin, oily on t-zone and normal on my cheeks. I have worn it all day at a football game day in Louisiana and it help up very nicely! Had to powder some areas, but I would definitley recommend. Also a good bonus that it has SPF in it!
Did Not Work As Expected - Disappointed
Deborah from Tampa, FL
I truly had high hopes for this product. I love Estee Lauder's Double Wear Stay in Place Makeup and reserve it for when I want a bit heavier and all day coverage. I bought this to wear as an everyday foundation choosing the same 2N2 color that I use for the Double Wear.
Firstly, the product is very thin, it does provide even coverage using just a few dabs of the foundation, which is why I gave it two stars, but that is the only good thing I can say about this particular foundation.
I did not like that the foundation stayed on top of the skin and needed additional buffing to blend in. it also caused my skin to feel very dry after a few hours, surprising as one of the selling points is that it is hydrating. Sadly, this did not work for me and will stick with the Loreal Age Perfect Radiant Serum, which provides nice coverage for hours, doesn't dry out my skin and is about 1/3 the price.
Great for dry skin

I have a ton of acne and very dry skin. I loved their double wear nude foundation and I like this even more with the added SPF and the lighter shade. Has a great dewy finish and doesn't cling to any of my many dry patches or look dry over the acne. Also has more coverage than the nude.
My new favorite!!
Kati from Iowa
I bought this during the 21 days of beauty because I'd heard great things about it from my favorite you tubers. It's stunning. Gives medium coverage, didn't settle into lines, looks like skin, dewy but not oily, and oddly enough it doesn't transfer as much as double wear does for me. In double wear I use the color ecru, I use the same in this. I have combo/oily and prone skin and so far it hasn't broke me out. I'm amazed, definitely my new favorite.
Gave me a rash.

Not sure which ingredient, maybe the fragrance, but definitely had an allergic reaction to this foundation. Showed lots of texture too. Returned.
Estee Lauder wasn't playing
Jocelyn from Ep
This has been one of the best foundations I've ever tried. So creamy and it goes perfect with the estee primer you'd be surprised how full coverage this is I'm obsessed will repurchase again ofc

I only purchased because it was half price but it's one of the very few foundations I can use when my face is flaky & dry & it looks good!
Rye_renee from California
I love Estée Lauder's other foundation so I thought I'd give this a try. It didn't blend well and sort of just sat on my skin. Smudges and transfers easily. The coverage and color was good, but the consistency is a little oily. Might be good for dry winter months.
My favorite cool weather foundation!
Alison from Oklahoma
This foundation is my favorite! It blends flawlessly, gives my skin a healthy glow, and doesn't settle into fine lines or wrinkles. It only takes one or two pumps! And I love that is has such a high spf. The only downside is it does have a cucumber like smell when you first apply it. It is a lovely smell, and it does dissipate with time. Highly recommend!
Medium coverage and dewy
Sol from Texas
I am not sure if it's hydrating, it looks kinda dewy but doesn't it feel oily at all it gives you a glow especially when In sun light it looks healthy and shiny but not oily, it doesn't settle on my pores or fine lines at all but it is not a full coverage foundation I would rather say it's medium but you still need to build it up. I did not use any primer or setting anything and still looks good on most part of my face except for my nose :(, I probably will continue buying this.

I purchased this product while it was on sale during Ulta's 21 days of beauty. Even if this were to never go on sale again, I would still repurchase it at full price. This is one of the most beautiful foundations I have ever tried. The Double Wear from EL is beautiful but my skin is drier so this one seemed like the better option. I tried it and immediately fell in love. I NEVER write reviews but this foundation absolutely deserved it. 10/10 product.

lasted through a night of cleaning dr offices! looks like skin & it's a perfect match! love love!
Glowy, light-weight, perfect match
Sara H from Hartford, CT
Wow this looks amazing on me. It is very glowy so if you don't like that it might not be for you. This is my perfect color match. It is so light-weight it feels like nothing is on! Also I usually get creasing on my smile lines and this does not crease at all. So natural looking. I love it!
I love it
Mo from Sarasota
I'm so glad I grabbed this on the 21 days of beauty sale. My skin looked flawless all day! I unfortunately did have a situation where they didn't have my shade and I got something too light but I have something too dark coming in so I'll mix the two. I have lines, I'm 31 years old, live in Florida so my skin has been exposed to sun my entire life... causing me to have some signs of aging. I used a damp beauty blender to blend into a sheer coverage. Did not get greasy over the day and stayed put. I highly recommend.
Gi from Ohio
I have worn their double wear for three years and just purchased this one because it was on sale. I like full coverage, but to also not look heavy. The double wear is an amazing foundation, but this one just makes it look more like skin. I am in love after one use. I might do the double wear still for going out or events. This is a great everyday lightweight feeling foundation. It feels like I have NOTHING on. I set it with a translucent powder and was good to go. My new favorite. Estée Lauder never disappoints me.
Horrible. Shows texture, pores, fine lines.
Steffy21 from Fresno, cA
Had such high expectations for this foundation given the many stellar reviews by some of my favorite influencers on YouTube. Actually purchased on sale, regardless of the price I would not recommend this foundation. There are so many better foundations in the $5-10 range, Maybelline, Loreal… IT Cosmetics SPF 50 foundation is so much better than this one. EL Futurist Hydra sinks into every pore, fine line, and texture on my face. I use Paula's Choice 1% Retinol frequently, and can have slight dry patches. Most foundations apply seamlessly with my beauty blender sponge. The EL Futurist shows every itty bitty patch of dry skin and it's impossible to make the foundation work. I never reach for it, and will definitely not repurchase.
FINALLY found the perfect foundation
Bekka from San Francisco
I took my time in the store color matching myself with this product. It is a miracle product. Matte, hydrating, long lasting, and looks perfect over Elta MD tinted mineral sunscreen.
