The new formulation is terrible!!!! It's sticky after applying. Extremely disappointed. This WAS my favorite foundation. No idea why anyone wanted to make a change to such a great product and destroy it.

I really like the new formula of the Double Wear. I'm using the same color that I used on the old one, which in my opinion felt heavy and cement like. This new formula is incredible,looks great and is buildable without being cakey. It's my new holy grail and has replaced Dior. Good job on realizing what needs to be changed. I feel it looks great in the morning first applied and in the late afternoon after the day is over. It's a definite win!
The Worst what were they thinking
please I'm begging!!!!! bring back the original. this is sticky, runny, messy, doesn't stay in, doesn't cover pores. Looks horrible and I hate it. I'm returning this immediately! I wore the other for like 20 years and always got compliments and people asking where I bought it, and what brand it was. I have oily skin through the throne and this does not stay on! I LOVED the other and it was the ONLY foundation that I wore everyday. I get hot and sweaty and the old would stay on ALL day long. Even during baseball season in 90 degree temps. I refuse to wear this. also I wear wheat, and this is totally different and makes my skin look orange. it's awful. I need my original estee double wear FAST! I'm very sad that they would make this change. everyone's skin is different! please bring back the original! have the original and a secondary one if you have to keep the new one on the market. you lost a customer so sadly to say!
I like it better actually!
Used DW for many years, always going back to it after trying others, and was currently using the old formula, so I was skeptical especially after reading the bad reviews. So I had to try it. I'm impressed! It does apply and feel completely different, kind of tacky at first. Shake the bottle well each time. I think this is imporyant. You need to apply very lightly, and go back again. The foundation shows much less texture, especially if you look close up! Not cakey at all. Its amazing. And a nice, natural finish for a 67-yr-old. I use small amount Laura Mercier honey pressed powder over it, and Maybelline Fit Me pressed on nose/chin. Wore it yesterday and had compliments about my skin. I was surprised. So i guess ill keep using it. However, I agree the shade is off. It does oxidize some. Dawn is not the same color- you might want to go lighter.
Do Not Buy Nothing Like The Original Double Wear
this is horrible and heartbreaking. I've been wearing the double wear foundation for about 20 years. I work at a clinic and patients are always telling me how beautiful my makeup looks and what brand and where did I buy it from. This is being returned and I'm switching over to Lancôme. This does not stay on for me, makes my t-zone look very greasy especially my nose. It's very embarrassing and does not have the full coverage like the last formula and doesn't cover the pores like the original formula! Why did Estee have to discontinue and change it?! also I wear the wheat, and the new formula makes my skin look orange. it's horrible. I can't believe they did this. I'm begging Estee to PLEASE bring my most favorite liquid foundation back PLEASE! I'm praying to you! it looked so good on me, and just so beautiful. why not have the #1, original and then the #2?!!! Not everyone has the same skin type! I get hot all of the time and just a little sweaty, and I sweat this makeup right off! the other stayed put for 24 hours. I go to a ton of baseball games on hot summer days and I need something that will stay put, so I can feel good all day long!!! I'm so disappointed with Estee. I also LOVED the single eye shadow in copper color, and they discontinued that as well, so I went with another brand. Pretty soon, I will buy nothing from them!
