I received a sample of the new Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place foundation to test in the shade 2N1 Desert Beige. This shade was unfortunately too dark for my skin tone but I found this foundation formula to be lightweight, smooth, creamy, and very blendable. The foundation was medium to full coverage and left a soft matte finish on the skin. I typically prefer a dewy or luminous finish for my concealers and foundation so this was not the product for me but it is a great product for anyone that is looking for a good matte foundation! I absolutely love using my Estée Lauder foundation! This foundation blends flawlessly and is so smooth on the skin. It covers all imperfections without being too thick or heavy. It is buildable, yet lightweight. The formula is very silky and looks natural on the skin. This foundation matches my skin tone so well! The Estée Lauder foundation goes on really smooth. I usually use a makeup brush and the foundation goes on perfectly. It has a very light fragrance which smells very clean. My face is usually sensitive but this foundation did not break me out. They have many colors so it is not hard to match your face color. Overall, I really like this foundation. I am more of a matte foundation girly and this is definitely that! I appreciated that this blends very easily, even when using my fingertips, although I do prefer to use a foundation brush, which also worked great. You can use a little for less coverage, or more for more coverage which was helpful to layer when I had a blemish. Since this is a matte foundation, it is a bit on the dryer side, so after having a nice sunburn after vacation, it did did make my skin flakey, which I think was also due to the fact my forehead was peeling a bit. The coverage of this lasts most of the day for me during my normal days. However, when wearing this for extended periods, such as a few 15 hour days, it did seem to wear off towards the end. However, a quick, thin re-application did the trick. I would recommend this foundation to friends and family and will consider adding it to my permanent makeup collection.
