- Before styling, ensure hair is detangled and dry. For best results, section hair.
- Begin at a low heat (330°F) and adjust depending on your hair type and texture.
- Style with a loose grip. The flexing plates shape to gather your hair, so you can loosen your grip when styling, letting the machine do the work for you. Avoid gripping too hard which may cause snagging.
- Flexing plates allow you to style hair in fewer passes, so go slowly over sections. Styling speed may vary by hair type.
- For a smooth glide, try styling the roots and mid-lengths of hair first, and style the ends last so you can take larger sections of hair. This allows the flexing plates to fully gather the section of hair.
- To curl and wave, clamp the section of hair and rotate the iron one full turn (for curls) or half turn (for softer waves).

Updated review after 4 years
I got the dyson corrale in the color Prussian Blue back in 2021 for Christmas. At first, I wasn't fully impressed because there were other irons like the GHD and Babyliss that I felt were as good. After 4 years, I can say this flat iron is as good as the rest in it's own way. If you are looking to protect the integrity of your hair and have the money to spend on this then it's a good choice. The iron is durable, can get very close to the scalp for unruly roots, and protects your hair from getting fried. I was able to get away with using this 1 x a week without my curls leaving permanently. I noticed my hair gets very straight. I still use a heat protectant, but the hair last me until my next wash. Cons include the iron make a pulling noise, the iron dies without charging in about 30 minutes, and price. Other than that, the iron is a good alternative and will protect your hair if you straighten tour hair frequently and want to maintain length.

I received Dyson hair straightener for an Christmas gift and I thought I was going to be in love with this. absolutely NOT. let me say this a cheap 50.00 conair straightener works better then this. I am so disappointed in this product.
Loved it until it died after 3 years…
I LOVED my Dyson Corrale straightener until the battery stopped charging. It got so bad that I cannot even use it plugged in. While it heats up, the battery low chime sounds and it turns off. This happens even when it's plugged in. Because it is out of warranty, Dyson was no help. Think about it, you're essentially paying the same amount of money as one of their vacuums and getting half the warranty time. After 3 years, it's headed to the landfill and I'm going back to my 7 year old Chi that works like a charm everytime.
I'm so glad I bought!
I have been eyeing this for a few years now and been nervous because of all the bad reviews. This is a big investment! Background I have long (mid back) wavy hair with bangs. My old straightener is about 10 years old and I travel alot. So having a cordless straightener would help me so much when I go to hotels with wierd outlets, or want to walk around while doing my hair. Im so glad I bought this!! It takes me about 20 minutes to do my hair, when I straighten all of it. Most of the time I just do my bangs. I charge the straightener once a week if im only doing my bangs. I would recommened this if you have easy to straighten hair! I didnt find it too heavy, and it heats up quick!
Not worth huge price, many flaws
I've returning this straightener after two months of use because: -advertised as cordless but lasts extremely short time off full charge -its very heavy, due to the battery, therefore my arms feel tired after using lol -NOT smooth straightening/styling, snags alot if I try to use it to curl I originally thought this was nice because of the cordless feature, however it's just really not worth it's huge price tag, thats why theres so many bad reviews!
