Key Ingredients
- Soybean Oil (filtered): Antioxidant-rich in omega and fatty acids, soybean oil nourishes, conditions, smooths, and seals moisture in dehydrated, color-treated hair
- Stearic Acid (filtered): Creates a lightweight veil to coat hair in a protective barrier, preventing color fade from aggressors
For color-treated hair, gently cleanse hair while leaving it nourished and strengthened. This shampoo hydrates dry hair without stripping away color. Apply to wet hair, lather, then rinse thoroughly.

Is this gluten free?
- Asked by Allergen Curious
- Official Answer By Biolage - Brand EngageHi there. Thanks for reaching out about Biolage Color Last Shampoo. Most ingredients derived from grain sources are highly refined and retain no traces of gluten proteins. For less refined ingredients from natural sources, Biolage has established strict limits on the level of potentially allergenic proteins. Since individuals exhibit a wide range of sensitivities to these proteins, if you have any questions or concerns you should discuss with your medical care provider. All the ingredients we use in a product are listed on the package or the label of the product itself. For products too small to accommodate the list, a separate ingredient list is available on the display unit in the store for your convenience. Since some ingredients are known by more than one name, we use the standard industry FDA-recognized names. A review of the ingredients that are listed on all of our products or packages will alert you to the presence of this type of ingredient. Was this answer helpful to you

My favorite shampoo of all time!
I use biolage shampoo every day! I love the entire line by Matrix. My hair always smells, feels and looks terrific! I have tried other shampoo but always go back to Biolage. It's truly the best and I would swear by it!

The best shampoo
Hair Type Straight Hair
I love this shampoo. It always leaves my hair feeling and smelling great. I get the one for color treated hair. It protects my hair wonderfully.
Best shampoo

Biolage is the best shampoo, fresh smelling, leaves hair clean and manageable.
Not the same formula
I buy enough stock to last an entire year so when I restocked this year, I found it strange that the bottle had changed and the formula is definitely different since I have last year's bottles on hand you can feel the difference in the product as well it doesn't foam up as much and it doesn't leave your hair feeling as smooth. Sadly, I'll be taking this product back and having to find a new one.
I would buy this product again, but...
Hair Type Wavy Hair
The bottle has change, and I think the formulation has. The bubbles are thick and tiny, leading me to feel like I get a better wash. (I know it's only the sulfates making it feel that way.) The bottle is also smaller than the previous design, I'm sure. I think the color lasting for up to 4 weeks is less than before too. The HUGE PROBLEM is that the new logo is the same color as the type (pink for color treated hair), and even in the store, I had to read closely to see if I was getting shampoo and conditioner. I got the right shampoo, but I got shampoo instead of conditioner for the Ultra Hydro Source. The type is probably 8 pt. in black.
Nothing like the old formula
Hair Type Wavy Hair
I have been using this shampoo for 15+ years and always purchase the liters during the sale. So sad to say that this shampoo's formula has been changed and is total garbage now. I started using a new bottle two weeks ago and my hair has way more fallout, my scalp has sores, and my hair feels like straw. Not sure why every company has jumped on the bandwagon of changing their holy grail products. Cheaper production costs and ingredients is not always better.
