Official Answer By Matrix - Brand Engage
Hi there! It is possible that minor changes have been made in the formula of a product; however, the performance should meet or exceed previous results and may not be noticeable at all. There are different reasons why a formula might be changed; availability of ingredients, changing industry requirements, and product improvements are common examples. The ingredients listed on the physical product are always the accurate listing. We assure you that we will be sharing your feedback with the rest of our team for consideration. Feedback from our consumers is very important to us and helps us improve all of our products. Was this answer helpful to you

Asked by Nan
Official Answer By Matrix - Brand Engage
We appreciate your interest in our Color Last Shampoo for Color-Treated Hair. This product does not claim to be sulfate-free. Q
I am curious about if color is stripped from the hair due to it containing sulphates as they are known to do that. Any guidance you could offer is appreciated!
Asked by kt
Official Answer By Matrix - Brand Engage
We only use sulphates in our rinse-off products. These products can be used without any fear of skin or scalp irritation as the contact with the skin is very short. Sulphates are ingredients synthesized in the laboratory from fatty alcohol and ours come from a vegetable origin. Sulphates are used at an appropriate concentration to ensure the efficiency of our products without any compromise on skin or scalp tolerance. Additionally, we offer products that do not contain any sulfates. Sulphates are ingredients that create the foaming effect of shampoos and shower gels for example and that help rid the skin and hair of soiling. To identify them in our products, look at the ingredients list on packaging. They can be found under names such as SODIUM LAURYL SULFATE (SLS), SODIUM LAURETH SULFATE (SLES), AMMONIUM LAURYL SULFATE.Was this answer helpful to you

Q
Is this gluten free?
Asked by Allergen Curious
Official Answer By Biolage - Brand Engage
Hi there. Thanks for reaching out about Biolage Color Last Shampoo. Most ingredients derived from grain sources are highly refined and retain no traces of gluten proteins. For less refined ingredients from natural sources, Biolage has established strict limits on the level of potentially allergenic proteins. Since individuals exhibit a wide range of sensitivities to these proteins, if you have any questions or concerns you should discuss with your medical care provider. All the ingredients we use in a product are listed on the package or the label of the product itself. For products too small to accommodate the list, a separate ingredient list is available on the display unit in the store for your convenience. Since some ingredients are known by more than one name, we use the standard industry FDA-recognized names. A review of the ingredients that are listed on all of our products or packages will alert you to the presence of this type of ingredient. Was this answer helpful to you

I lost SO MUCH HAIR

Submitted 9 days ago

By AmandaSD

From San Diego

It took me longer than it should have to realize it was this shampoo causing my hair to fall out. The amount of lost volume was worse than postpartum levels. I had long fine hair but a TON of it and now I'm at the point where I feel like I need to cut it all off because it's so thin and stringy. It was to the point I thought maybe I had something going on medically. It seems like this shampoo has worked for many others but is it worth the risk?

Scalp Irritation

Submitted 11 days ago

By Cait

From Chicago, IL

I bought this because the Redken Acidic Bonding shampoo was getting too costly and I was bored of Amika's shampoo. I was loving it for awhile (it smells so good) until I realized it made my scalp super dry, itchy, and inflamed (bleeding) causing hair loss, dandruff, and thinning at my scalp! I stopped using it and my scalp is soooo much better and pretty much healed…..I'll be sticking with the Redken from now on! 💸
